Fun Dog Studios has released the first gameplay trailer for its upcoming co-op tactical survival horror shooter, The Forever Winter. The game is powered by Unreal Engine 5 and appears to have an amazing art style. So, be sure to check it out.
In this game, you and your team have to search for stuff from the dead to stay alive while big war machines fight endlessly in the background. The devs claim that this won’t be like your typical looter shooter. The game will have two groups fighting each other, and you won’t be part of either. You’ll be just trying to survive in the chaos of war.
The Forever Winter will also feature a Dynamic Encounter system. Thanks to this system, enemies have their own goals and agendas. You’ll witness them operating in coordinated groups, and undertaking full-scale battles.
The game’s concept sounds interesting, and it will have some huge enemies fighting each other. So, I’m curious to see how its missions will play out. And what about its story? Will it be an interesting one, or will it be boring and unoriginal?
Now while I really like the game’s aesthetics, I can’t help but notice the really low framerate. The game feels like running at 15-20fps in this official gameplay trailer. On one hand, the trailer showcases the current technical state of the game. On the other hand, it makes you wonder how the devs gave the green light to this gameplay footage.
It’s also worth noting that Fun Dog Studios has shared some early PC system requirements. PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i7-9700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super or an AMD Radeon RX 5700XT. The devs recommend using an Intel Core i7-12700 or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6800XT.
These appear to be preliminary PC specs. As such, the may change before the game releases. Oh, and in case you’re wondering, there is currently no ETA on when it will come out. Nevertheless, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

The only survival-horror element in this trailer is the framerate
Real life is more entertaining than the repetitive trash we get as video games these days.
