    1. Perhaps that’s the real reason why elephants in Far Cry 4 are programmed to be immortal. They spent so much time and effort in making such photo-realistic elephants that they don’t want gamers to kill them. Other animals, though, are fair game.

It’s funny one of the preo-order bonuses is an Impaler Harpoon gun, a weapon that is designed to kill large animals and yet the biggest animal in the game cannot be killed.

        1. Being badass is one thing but controlling an army of immortal pachyderms is bordering on immersion breaking. Soldiers/mercenaries that took over a whole nation couldn’t kill elephants with all those advanced weaponry in FC4 while in real life poachers can kill them so easily.

          1. Yeah it seems still that gun turrets and bullets to the head can’t take them down. I wonder if they will have energy bars for health. They need to feel organic, they’re ‘not’ tanks.

          2. It’s a game. The mammoths in Skyrim I could kill with one arrow. An arrow. That’s like killing a person with a twig.

Making a game more like real life is the fastest way to destroy the fun of it.

          3. Yes but there is a balance, the problem is that games are so dumbed down that balance is lost, in fact just like in Skyrim. Killing Dragons shouldn’t be easy, yet within 30 minutes you kill one in the main quest. Having the skill to skill something makes it fun, not letting you kill something to be a badass like some 13 year old.

I think game devs are scared of games being too hard or frustrating because reviews will say that, just like Risen 3 but if you have the skill it’s really not that hard as people make out.

          4. You mean the game where you’re a dragon-riding lizard-man with a super-percussive shout, or the one where you mow down enemies with a machine gun while riding an elephant?

          5. then why they try to be so mature and cinematic, fcking ocarina of time is harder than the adult games today.

        2. they also want the player to experiance a cinematic hollywood bs.

Fc3 didnt let me do anything, so you have to save someone, it locked the sniper scope, i couldnt unzoom or use another weapon, for crying out loud not even cod does that. It had QTEs that supose to be badass and cinematic, it prevented you from playing stealth, it kicked a freaking cutscene just because you pushed a cart in a underound mine.

Games are wayyyy too damn scripted now, they basicly hold your hand, or worse shove your face in cutscenes and say LOOK LOOK HOW AWESOME THIS THING IS, BE AMAZED….I hated how fc3 was scritped i hated it in tomb raider and i hated it metro last light atlest watchdogs allowed you to interact with the enviroment even a little.

The balance between cutscenes and gameplay is bad, the way games are made nowdays is wrong.

      1. Really? That seems a bit odd. Where did you read that? I know for the floor demos at trade shows they had the game set to easy so people could jump in and just have fun. They could have disabled elephant damage, too.

  1. Why they keep showing us the same gameplay? Its like ubisoft doesnt have any faith for this game and so they dont market it much.

Also the wanted missions that you got no knife vip enemies are still there and its made by ac3 director, just like ac3 and watchdogs it has 4 fortresess in the map.

Ubi games are the freaking same.
