In April 2025, we shared a video that showcased the PS4 emulator, shadPS4, running Driveclub. And now, just two months since then, Driveclub is almost fully playable with support for 60FPS on PC via shadPS4.
YouTube’s ‘talhaONE’ has shared two videos, showcasing the game running on the latest version of shadPS4. And, as you will see, we are almost there.
To capture this gameplay footage, talhaONE used an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D with 32GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon RX 9070XT. And, as we can see, this PC system can run the game with 60FPS.
What’s crazy is that a high-end PC system could only push 38FPS back in April 2025. Not only that, but you needed hacks to get an output image. Oh, and that output image was awful. The progress we see in just two months is crazy. Plus, it shows how talented the shadPS4 team really is.
For those unaware, the PS4 version (and the PS5 version via backward compatibility) is locked at 30FPS. So, if you want to enjoy this PS4 racing game with 60FPS, you’ll have to play it on PC. And that’s why we love emulation. The emulation scene is doing what Sony should have done in the first place. It’s inexcusable how Sony has treated this game. Thank God for shadPS4โit will allow more and more gamers to experience this racing game with smooth framerates.
As I said, we are ALMOST there. Right now, there are still some minor visual issues. For instance, rain is still broken in cockpit camera. This is something that the shadPS4 will have to address. After all, Driveclub had (and still has) some of the best raindrop effects in a racing game. There might also be some other graphical glitches. So yeah, it’s not perfectly emulated yet.
My guess is that by the end of Summer (or at least at the end of 2025), Driveclub will be fully playable on shadPS4. Late 2025 was my original prediction. But, after this huge progress, we might be able to play the game sooner than expected. This will be a monumental milestone for the shadPS4 team. When that happens, PC gamers will be able to enjoy both Bloodborne and Driveclub at 4K with 60FPS.
There are still some PS4-only games that need a bit more love. God of War III Remastered is, obviously, one of them. The Order 1886 is another one. And yes, I’d also love to see Killzone Shadow Fall running on shadPS4.
Anyway, enjoy the videos and stay tuned for more!

Excellent news !!
But people wanting to play The Order 1886 are out of their mind…
For free? Sure, I would give it a try.
Why? It's not a bad game.
Sony still refuses to port its best games to PC: Demons Souls, GT 7, GOW 1-3, Uncharted 1-3
You forgot:
Killzone 1-3
Resistance 1-3
It's clear Sony expanded it's market for social engineering purposes. No classics for you, just go ahead and emulate what you can.
30 FPS on consoles is not the only downside, the game also runs at 1080p without anti-aliasing, even via backwards compatibility on the PS5.
I can't think of a more unecessary waste of time than to try emulating a racing game, they all look the same nowadays.
Although I used to be excited about this game, you're not wrong.
I mentioned this issue lately: ever since games started to look realistic, and especially with UE5, all games look more or less the same, racing games in particular. (not sure which engine Driveclub uses though)
I mean, for example, there are so many great mods for Assetto Corsa that I can make it look like exactly like the videos we see here, maybe even better. It's even possible that somebody already recreated Driveclub's tracks in AC… I've seen that on some Russian websites.
I could also reproduce more or less the same kind of race and obtain the same graphics in ANY of the Forza games.
Between AC, AMS2, and the Forza games, you've got pretty much everything covered anyway. Add to that a few arcadish racing games like BallisticNG and you're good.
On the other hand, and that's only my personal opinion, we need more motorbike games. Especially Road Rash type games.
There’s plenty moto racer games, motocross racing or hybrids but yeah we need more combat racing games in general. A more polished Road Redemption would kikass.
Are we sure that we'll get 60 FPS though?
I mean, after years and years of development, RPCS3 still doesn't offer 60 FPS patches for every game, very far from it.
I'm far from being an expert, but all I know is that I keep hearing people saying it's "hardcoded" for some games, and therefore no patches will ever be able to fix this.
So, I imagine that it could be the same for the PS4?
This is why, starting from the 7th generation, Xbox 360/PS3, if a game is also on PC, I'll always use that version anyway.
Xbox 360 did have a fair share of great 60 fps games though, like almost every fighting and shmup game. Virtua Fighter 5, all CAVE shmups, etc.
And these versions do have some small differences with the Steam versions, making them interesting to own.
Here's a picture of my small collection of 360 games!
As you can see, I have zero interest in the games most people usually mention for this console ha ha
Most of these are actually better than their PC counterparts, with a few exceptions. And some are not on PC at all.
Shadow Complex is better on PC, for example. Also, Dead Rising 2.
On the other hand, Daytona USA and Virtua Fighter 2 are the "ultimate" versions!
The Bigs 2 and Top Spin 4 are freaking incredible, and not on PC.
Xenia Manager still has trouble detecting games. He labelled "Ultra Street Fighter 4" as "Super Street Fighter 4"…

Driveclub's 60FPS patch is a "deltatime" patch, which means it decouples the physics from the framerate, assuming this patch is the same one used on real PS4s
some fantastic games there :O
y no daytime videos?
I'm waiting for mgs4 fock off this game.
And it has nothing to do with the game, per se, cause it svcks big time!
The only thing here is the challenge to make it run, no one wants to play such a pile of shรฏt with lots of greatly superior ones out there.
