  1. awesome, another multiplayer trailer, guess I won’t need to buy the game since the single player is likely to suck and be put on the back burner with all this Halo style multiplayer marketing push.

    1. but hey the boxart has a tactical dude with a gun, it has to be like cod and bf right?

This game is plagued by horrible marketing they keep showing the mp instead of the sp and the boxart is awfull, they made 2 alternative boxarts both better and more doomey but hey you gotta stick with the one the generic marketing suits chose.

      1. I get people telling me how DOOM was all about MP and yet I grew up seeing it a whole lot differently and seeing more friends and people back then talking about the SP portions, Quake was more about MP than DOOM.

        1. I completely agree, i dont get this guy who says doom was about mp, what mp? Only some university students played it on mp. Duke nukem had more of a mp community than doom and of course quake was about mp. The doom community is very much alive to this day and most of what they do is make singleplayer mods.

          1. first computer game that made me say “holy!@# there are games other than minesweep and solitaire!? this beats the pant of my point&click sherlock holmes (29 disk install)” and my 14.4kb modem could play dm or coop surprisingly well. hell i learned alot getting the modem to hookup my buddy across town. which com do i use, com2? ohyea, dont forget to dial with *70 first or when somebody called the house it would give you the boot!

          2. A lot of people at work played it over LAN as well but yeah it doesn’t make the game about MP.

        2. Quake 2 and 3 were a blast in MP. Doom? Never. I have never even played it!
People in my country were madly in love with Quake 2, Unreal and of course Half Life 1’s MP.

      2. Well, I don’t think there’s going to be too much of a story to show for SP… just saying.

  2. Considering the double jump and climb mechanics these maps are depressingly flat. Halo is more vertical so you can’t even blame it on consoles (entirely).
