  1. deus ex games, x-men movies, heroes tv series; the similarity? it’s all about normal vs abnormal ^^;

    1. The difference is that the abnormals in Deus Ex chose to be “abnormals” through augmentations and a horrible event caused ordinary people to hate them. The mutants and superpowered beings in X-Men and Heroes became abnormals not through their own choice and they were hated by ordinary people from the very start.

      Plus we know the limitations of augmenting people with machines. Simply ban the use of augments and it’ll go away eventually or regulate it much more tightly.

      In contrast, mutants with God-like powers who can bend time, space and reality itself is very scary indeed, especially one with a tortured past and a big ego. I mean just look what happened when humans found a cure for the mutant genes in X-Men 3 movie.

      1. Actually plenty of people in Deus Ex became augmented out of medical necessity and then lost everything they owned because of the neuropozyne supply shortage scam, and later (in the original game) because of the gray death or whatever it was called. The thugs with metal arms Jensen meets aren’t representative of the average augmented person in Deus Ex’s world.

  2. There’s something about the graphics that i just don’t like.. i can’t point it out, but something is just off, maybe they’re trying not to look to good so later ppl can’t call them out on a downgrade.

    1. That is obviously the 900p/30fps PS4 version. The PC version will look amazing in 4k/60fps plus all the extra bells and whistles like TressFX 3.0 etc. Don’t worry they just used the console version for the trailer because the PC version will be much much better, similar to what we got in the recent Star Wars Battlefront Beta. Its using DX12 on PC as well and its an AMD Gaming Evolved game so we know it will be very well optimized.

      1. Battlefront will NOT use DX12 as of now. The first DX12 from dice will come with mirrors edge (maybe, not confirmed) and for sure the next battlefield out at the end of 16′ will be DX12

      2. I’m sorry but that’s very naive, to think they would capture this footage in sub-1080 on a console. That’s not how anyone makes trailers for games.

    2. In addition to what FasterThanFTL said, keep in mind that it’s a video and no matter even if you see it in HD these videos use horrible lossy compression which destroys a lot of detail, I am sure the game will shine and PC version will be definitive.

      1. True, but look at something like TW3’s launch trailer (Go Your Way), here are some screenshots from the video, and ones i took (high/ulta settings).

        I know they’re not the same moment, and time of the day, but these do not have the same quality loss as the DE video. Sure launch for them is pretty far away, but it’s still wierd.

  3. Interesting thing these days is how games start looking worse, the closer they get to release. The earlier videos looked much better than this.

    Back in the day, you saw crappy looking early demos, that started looking much better as they got closer and closer to release, now it’s the other way around.

  4. Same old locations and actions, and the graphics still have that rough look where dark things are pitch black and shiny things are blindingly bright. They should honestly work on the game more and advertise less. The way it looks it’ll need another year of polish.

  5. The visuals looked like crap in this video. Additionally, looks like they have the “P!$$” filter rather than the blue one that we saw in the other videos.

  6. I’ll just play and enjoy the game. Who cares how is the graphic as long as it is not in old school polygon.

  7. i just saw gamersyde video but still no AA solution and horrible sharpness filter i have E3 6gb demo to but this no to come close to 3E DEMO 🙁

  8. Altough its more like HR still a Deus Ex game…and one of few worth, imo, to get dayONE at 2016.
