Cyberpunk 2077 – Behind The Music

It looks like CD Projekt Red is putting a lot into the music of their upcoming title. Cyberpunk 2077 will feature several artists like Run the Jewels, Refused, Asap Rocky, Gazelle Twin, Ilan Rubin and more.

“We wanna provide you with the soundtrack to fucking-shit-up.” RTJ

The soundtrack will be influenced by ambient, industrial, punk rock, electronic, really rugged, rough, edgy, psychedelic, trippy, yet uplifting and engaging sound, according to the artists.

“It’s quite rebellious, and it’s quite noise and aggressive.” GT

Music Director Marcin Przybylowicz says this is just a glimpse of what they have in store for us.

  1. WTF are some of these band choices CDPR is going with?

Where is Scandroid, Celldweller? Deadlife? Mega Drive? Gost? There are so many better Dark Synthwave bands out there that would fit this game/genre perfectly.

    1. exactly. Check out

-MASTER BOOT RECORD – INTERNET PROTOCOL
      – Abducted By Sharks – 3AM
-Noir Nights – A Cyberpunk Noir soundtrack

    2. Why the f*k would they put the music of your choice in their game? They even said this is a glimpse of what they’ve got. You all are so retarded, holy sh*t.

  2. Cdprojekt years ago “we want indie bands send us your demo”

Well here are big names that are all trash. I remember kanye west following this game on twitter, people assumed that his “musical genius” will be in the game along with lady gaga, but i guess they dropped him when he came out as a conservative christian. That being said all of this sounds like utter trash and i will be muting it and play retrowave in the background.

“It’s quite rebellious, and it’s quite noise and aggressive.” GT”

Right because thats what cyberpunk is about guys, like i said this is gta v with robotic arms.

The music in the original reveal trailer was better than this trash.

    1. Gazelle tween described her music in the game, dumbo. Also, how idiot you have to be not to understand how marketing works? Of course they’ll drop celebrities and advertise them, otherwise they paid them for nothing.

    2. Gazelle Twin described her music in the game, dumbo, not the game or genre. Also, how idiot you have to be not to understand how marketing works? Of course they’ll drop celebrities and advertise them, otherwise they paid them for nothing.

      1. you think any of these people are top brass? They are not, nor are they fitting to the theme.

This is like putting katty perry in doom 2016 soundtrack…like wtf?

  3. That thumbnail image for the YouTube video sure made me laugh.

    Archetypal soyboy? Check!
    POC? Double check!
    Wahman? Check!

  4. a few facts
-id software told him to make the music less heavy metal, he wanted to make it more metal and less skrillex.
-new mech warrior has heavy metal music
-the original cyberpunk reveal looked like a more smooth deus ex, this looks like gta v with robotic arms, also the music in that teaser was from a polish band,

    Yeah this is trash.

I hope you can have in game music player like the gta games to listen to retrowave.

  5. I like Grimes music (specially her first two albums)…but it doesnt fit at all with Cyberpunk. Nothing else to say for the rest, it “sounds” like a serious mistake for me.
