Call of Duty 2, Fallout New Vegas, Skyrim & more with RTX Remix Path Tracing

This past month, modders have been experimenting with RTX Remix in numerous classic PC games. So, below you can find videos showcasing Call of Duty 2, Fallout New Vegas, Skyrim, STALKER and Trackmania Forever with RTX Remix Path Tracing.

Now as you’ll see, these RTX Remix mods are still in a very early stage. What this basically means is that they are full of bugs and visual glitches. Still, and even in this early stage, you can see the benefits of real-time Path Tracing.

To be honest, I don’t know whether we’ll see a bug-free RTX Remix Mod until NVIDIA releases the Remix Creator Tool. Even the RTX Remix for NFS: Underground 2 is still in a pretty rough stage. And yes, the same can be also said about the RTX Remix mod for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

So while it’s cool right now to see Path Tracing effects on older games, they are not yet playable. For those wondering, NVIDIA has not shared any additional details about the Remix Creator Tool.

Anyway, enjoy the videos and stay tuned for more!

  1. Remember all those unreal engine remake videos that john puts up that look ugly and oily and shinny, this is what these videos look like. Holy crap at new vegas. Look guys if you want shadows in new vegas use new vegas reloaded, it works, its not perfect but it works.

  2. These mods need good textures and lighting system to actually take advantage of remix. Maybe in 3 yrs we will see some real remasters

  3. The Global Illumination and RT Shadowing look phenomenal if you can ignore the huge limitations for now that don’t let the implementations look as good as it should (mostly having the original lighting for rasterized graphics, and lacking PBR materials).
Can’t wait to see these and more classics when modders get the complete toolset.
Lookup the Discord channel “RTX Remix Showcase” for all of these in one place.
