Electronic Arts and DICE have just announced Battlefield 1. Battlefield 1 will be available from October 21st on the PC, and is powered by Frostbite 3 engine. Below you can find its reveal trailer that features in-engine footage. Enjoy!

AAA version of verdun, and im fine with that
First time I’m actually interested in a Battlefield game.
This is Day 1 buy for me.
If anyone remembers Codename Eagle, that was one of DICE’s first games before they became DICE. This almost seems like a successor to that.
The name is silly, but WWI is a nice change of scenery. Looks cool!
Battlefield one, just like the stupid XB1 name, also DICE sided with XB1, an inferior platform and console to showcase their trailer LOL.
This.
If you spend 5 minutes listening to the stream, you’ll realize just because they changed the time period it’s set in, doesn’t mean they’ve actually learned anything about proper balancing, or trying to encourage Squad Play over Lone Wolf run & gunning, or any of the other 100,000 problems that still plague Battlefield 4.
“Rock-Paper-Scissors” balancing. HAH. So, is that what they call the Noob Gun that “somehow” occurs literally every time they patch Weapons? “Rock-Paper-Scissors”?
But yeah it’s funny, 5 years ago we had Call of Duty marketing the Xbox, & Battlefield marketing the PlayStation. Now we have Call of Duty on the PlayStation 4, & Battlefield on the Xbox One.
Battlefield: World War 1 would have been better than Battlefield 1, there is no connection to WW1 at all.
Or even Battlefield 1914, 1915, 1916, etc. Their intent is to imitate Classic Battlefield after all, so they might as well have started with the name.
Yeah, this number 1 in the name doesn’t say nothing about the game, not a damn thing.
Cry about it. Maybe they’ll feel sorry for you and change the title.
Whoa there buddy. Don’t bring logic to the comment section of DSOG.
There’s no such this as logic around here
You said it…
I see psychological projecting there.
Would be nice if they put PC there instead, as we are the ones who made them who they are today. Talk about forgetting your roots.
What? And piss off their paying sponsors by reminding them of the “other” guys, the ones who ardently refuse to blindly subscribe to their propaganda bullsh*t?
:O!
because sony didnt want ea access remember?
RIP Call of Duty 2003-2007
RIP COD 2007-2016
I can now see why the DICE Video & Media Editor was “ripping” apart the COD: IW trailer. BF1 absolutely destroys COD: IW in every way imaginable.
RIP? I bet you Infinite Warfare will sell more copies on consoles than BF 1.
Maybe in the past this was a safe bet to make but this year I am not so sure anymore. BF1 looks like it could be the best BF game ever and compared to the worst looking COD ever this could finally be the year Battlefield takes the crown both in terms of quality and sales.
“Worst looking CoD ever” lol’d. Yeah, I’m not usually the CoD defender, but if you look around a little, you’ll find the “we’re in Space” stuff’s got a lot of people interested, even non-CoD regulars. Not to mention the CoD 4 Remaster they’re tacking on opens a lot of doors with the still very sizeable CoD 4 Fanbase which spends year after year ardently shouting “F*ck You Activision” every time they launch another broken Killstreaks CoD entry.
As for the “best BF game ever”; congratulations to DICE, they changed time period. So what? They’ve yet to prove that they can actually, finally balance Weapons properly now without “accidentally” creating a new Noob Weapon every Patch, that these so-called “Squad Play incentives” will make a single inch of difference to all these f*cking idiots rampaging around as Lone Wolves right now (which by-the-by make up a massive portion of the BF Community), & the 100,000 other issues that still plague BF4.
Not to mention the usual Premium, Deluxe, & just general overpricing bullsh*t, coupled with the to-be-expected terrible Launch that EA’s going to pull. Until then, until they prove they’ve fixed the 100,000 issues that continue to prevail BF4 to this day, this’ll be just another moronic BF entry by the idiots who are now defiling DICE.
See, Infinite Warfare just has to deliver the same moronic Multiplayer experience people have been getting for years now, & the vast majority of the fanbase (shrinking or not) will be happy. If the Campaign is actually good, & it isn’t a buggy sh*tfest that Ghosts (or whatever) was, then that’s even better, they’ll get some extra sales from the “hey, I’m in Space!” thing. Whereas on the other hand, nobody cares about the Battlefield campaign, regardless of what time period the game is set in. They want the Multiplayer, & as long as the Multiplayer continues to be as f*cked up as what BF4 continues to deliver on a daily basis, this will BY FAR fail to qualify as “the best BF ever.”
it will still sell millions because of cod 4 remastered but yea rip cod.
I don’t even like first person shooters and I’m very interested in this game.
Fix ya face!
Olek was wrong.
What’s this about?
He was certain WW1 wouldn’t happen and he was confident the next game was BF 2143.
What can we say, once again (was it BF3 or BF4? I forget) they dropped their hints, & once again they pulled out the Trollface.
Assh*les.
No offence but to me most of the WW 1 combat style seems really boring to play (trenches/gas/relatively primitive weaponry).
(Surprisingly) Cod with its futuristic approach looks much more appealing to me this year than BF 0n3.
As far as sci-fi shooters go, I’m waiting for Titanfall 2 which might be the better choice over CoD this year.
World War 1? They got my attention!
The CoD Infinite Warfare trailer was full of futuristic weapons, floating ships, space battles and war on other planets. All I can say is “ooh, ahh..” with a tinge of disinterest because I’ve seen all those in other games already.
This Battlefield 1 trailer however made me said “Wow!” Dice have made me more excited with rickety biplanes, original dreadnoughts, clunky first gen tanks over CoD’s advanced space fighters, mechs and powersuits.
thats called being a fanboy
I identify myself as a jaded, long-time gamer. I didn’t buy BF4 and Hardline because they feel too much like BF3. Similarly I haven’t bought any of the latest Far Cry games after FC3 for the same reason. Let’s not get me started with CoD.
Yes, I’m more impressed by the BF1 trailer than the IW one but that doesn’t mean they’re immediately put into my wishlist. Need to see more info and footage to get me committed. This year I’m really looking forward to Doom and Samurai Warrior 2- games where you are right in the thick of the action with your enemies.
Holy s#iT…that looks stellar!
The only thing this trailer is missing is the original BF soundtrack!
Rip CoD
You had never heard of me about being HYPE about AAA game, but this time, this time, im pretty excited.
Kudos to whoever had guessed correctly that the guy looking up in amazement was seeing a zeppelin.
