Assassin’s Creed: Unity Gets Story Trailer

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed: Unity that focuses on the game’s storyline. In addition, the company revealed that the game will be locked at 900p/30fps on both Xbox One and PS4 for parity reasons. Well, here is hoping that the PC version won’t be locked at those settings (you know, for parity reasons). Enjoy!

  1. PS4 users are getting the parity treatment, 1600×900/30fps on both consoles, OUCH. I guess “next-gen starts here” doesn’t mean resolution and frame-rate, they’re just numbers Ubisoft, remember? :Numbers but low numbers, but they’re numbers never the less. 😀

No, the PC version won’t be locked at 30fps(maybe soft locked like AC4 with v-sync on) at 900p, Like AC4 though it might be locked to 63fps.

    1. A lot of the Sony fanboys forget that the 7870M is not a huge step up like they think. Sony waved fancy numbers in their faces and their “insider” shills talked about “50%” like it was a guarantee that it was 1080P all the time. While every PCMR said no and it would be dropping to 900P very quickly because it’s a mobile APU.

      Guess who was right?

FYI turned out the Bone verson was 830P and getting a boost because Microsoft sent out engineers to help. PS4 was always 900P. Sony shills are mad because their console can’t get past it. Either way, we win :^)

  2. They claim it’s the CPU’s holding them back and I’m inclined to believe them. I don’t care how many cores you have, a 1.6ghz ceiling is not conducive to making impressive games…

  3. this game just looks so good.. finally a good ac since 2. 4 was good, but this is gonna top it. u ahve to admit, ubisoft may be a sh*t developer in terms of communication and pr bu****it, but they do bring good creative games to the market and theyre always the first one to try something new.

    1. All of there games have been pretty much the same and generic since Farcry 2 ,even Middle Earth copied a lot of that generic gameplay mechanics, Styx does the same.

  4. Pretty sweet GFX. It looks very pleasing to the eye. I hope the story is not a joke, and the gameplay is even better. They also better have some good sound effects.

  5. John ,in my opinion ,they gave parity between consoles so that they wont have to downgrade the PC version ,im almost sure that the final pc build will look like those E3 gameplays.
By getting low graphics ,console gamers wont care about the PC version because both consoles look the same ,so ubi has green light to give a much superior pc version.

    1. Put it this way, I’ll be surprised if they can do that amount of NPCs from the video in the final game even on the PC. PC CPUs are a lot more powerful than consoles but still, that amount of NPCs seems bullsh*t and I never believed that E3 video anyway.

    2. you never know with ubisoft but its nice to hear that the cpu is bottlenecking them and thats why its 900p.

      derp be mad.

  6. Like I been saying.

1 Nvidia pretty much told Ubisoft in a nice way if they are going to have a partnership and use gameworks then the PC versions better be the best they can be and not fps locked ports due to vsync with garbage optimization. And from video’s I seen I think Ubisoft is going to get back into the hearts of PC gaming.

2 No added in gameworks features for AC5, FarCry4, or The Division. They are in the PC versions on launch which will be nice because last minute additions are always garbage and seem rushed.

3 1080p to the new “4K Ready” gimmick will be used for the PC versions.

11/11/14 is when the Fun begins and pretty much Ubisofts rebirth on PC.

        1. Well, in november we’ll see if you speak bullshit or not, coming from ubi, it sounds like you are. Ive had faith in them too many times already.

          1. They been blowing it since After Far Cry 2 for PC gamer’s. Best thing you can do is pre order from gamestop to get bonus content since bonus content is the thing to do these days……

If for some reason you are not happy with the optimization reviews you can get your $5 back the next day.
