IGN has shared a video, showcasing 22 minutes of new gameplay footage from Dragon Age: The Veilguard. This video shows pretty much everything. So, you can expect to see some of the game’s dialogues, as well as its combat system. So, make sure to watch it if you are looking forward to it.
In this new Dragon Age game, players will explore the world of Thedas. Thedas is a lively land with wild forests, dangerous mazes, and shining cities filled with fierce battles and hidden magic. And now, the future of this world hangs by a thread.
Players will form a brave team to face a growing threat. Along the way, friendship, excitement, and romance will unfold as you gather unique people into an amazing group. Plus, you’ll step up as the leader and be the guiding light when times are tough.
EA will release Dragon Age: The Veilguard on October 31st. And, as we’ve already reported, the game will support Ray Tracing on PC. To be more precise, there will be support for ray-traced reflections and ray-traced shadows. Moreover, there will be support for NVIDIA’s DLSS 3 (though it seems that the game won’t support AMD FSR 3.0 FG).
Dragon Age: The Veilguard will not require an EA account. We already knew that it wouldn’t require the EA App, but it’s also good to know that you won’t have to create an EA account to play it. Linking your Steam account to your EA account will be completely optional. And, from what we know so far, it may not even have Denuvo.

That's 22 minutes of my life that I wish I could get back. I watched the video just to be sure of what this game is about but I won't be wasting anymore time on this game.The priority of this game is going to be pushing political correctness over everything else. Just another Bioware fail game in the making. Hell, what's one more on the turd pile anyway.
Dragon Age has been slowly going that way since at least the second game (women in charge of everything). I've only recently started playing Dragon Age Inquisition, however from what I've heard it sounds like it was worse than Dragon Age 2.
I'd say that inquisition is probably the better game mostly because it had a full budget and development time behind it. Its more that 2 feels like the expansion or more rushed.

That's fine but don't expect others to sugar coat what they see in this game. The AAA gaming industry has gone too far to the left to still be nice about the sh*t games that just keep coming.
With the success of other "politically correct" or games with "leftist" themes/imagery that do well, it seems the issue is that there are a lot of games that are also just bad. If these same games were "politically incorrect" or "right-wing" wouldn't they perform equally bad?
I think the problem is when money and development time have gone into pushing an ideology that further diminishes the game, instead of spending that same time and money to actually improve the game. It's not about right vs. left. It's about anyone with whatever ideology using this as a platform to push an agenda instead of just making an effing game.
I'd say something Bioshock 2 is a good game that is very political in its criticisms of Collectivism and promotion of Family Values. I think it's do-able just often times it's easier to point to a rogue developer or weird looking character and say that's why a game is bad or failed as opposed to the years of mismanagement and dead end development as was reported to be the case with Suicide Squad.
Can we not agree that the downward spiral with those game companies happened when they started putting more focus on injecting ideologies than improving games?
There’s always ups and downs. But the problem is that you can’t recover from the downs when you spend resources on adding in woke content that not only doesn’t help the game, but in fact makes it worse.
Imagine if instead of spending time figuring out how to insert “girl bosses” and the associated woke-approved narrative around all interactions with them, and making all the females unattractive in a game like mass effect andromeda, they could have spent that time adding actual conten?
I don’t disagree that its the money and shareholders that are the largest issue. It’s that we’ve had a share of Ideological good games and bad ones. It just seems more fitting that the games that are bad were going to be bad regardless of the political paint slapped on to it. Like if they took all the “woke” out of Baldur’s Gate 3 or God of War they would still be a good games. Whereas if you stripped all the woke elements out of concord or KTJ you’d still have very mediocre and bad designed live service games. Concord was designed from the ground up to be Sony’s Overwatch copycat, a game that is much better that performed well and slapped with the “woke” stick. They just didnt bother to make a good game past the visual layer. Did you play Mass Effect Andromeda? There was tons of content, the issue was the main story being so bland and derivative of the previous trilogy with less wonder than the previous titles despite being in a whole new galaxy. Similarly if you made the Andromeda less “woke” by replacing woman leaders with dudes it would still largely have those same issues.

I appreciate that in almost every piece of the media they address an issue people have had with inquisition. At this point I get that we'll probably never see another Origins from them but striving to be better than inquisition is pretty good imo.

They are really trying to get away from the Inquisition criticisms. I get that we probably won't see another Origins from them but Inquisition was no joke and its cool to see they are trying to do better than that. The gameplay definitely looks better and I appreciate hearing that they are trying to do something meaningful with the quests. After finishing Outlaws, one thing I really missed was the steam deck functionality so itll be cool to have it here. The gameplay almost makes me think it would be cool if this was multiplayer in some fashion.
The status combo system seems vastly improved, not the "I mix these 2 glyphs and create a freeze AoE spell" level of Origins, but looks like a good step up from 2 and Inquisition.
Yeah it’s definitely a rip from Mass Effect Combos but it was cool mechanic that should have crossed over sooner. Its crazy people are trying to act like Inquisition while disappointing in some aspects wasnt hugely critically acclaimed and financially successful. The fact that they keep addressing the criticisms of an already great game by most sane people’s standards is something I think makes the game worth the attention.

– Cliche floating/magical/contraption thing in the center of the room to attempt to wow the player
– Character goes to a black guy who is a leader black guy, of course
– Character is also half black or ethnic something, of course
– NPC has a pet, fine… But no… It's a cute "uwu" pet (an uwu griffin, wtf?!) that tries its hardest to be cute prancing around and smiling at the camera, and the devs are like "be sure to have a look at how cute it is"
– You can pet it of course, because uwu
– Presenter slaps it in your face with a forced "I find the griffin adorable" and "Thank goodness you can pet him", connect with the audience, right?
– And of course it's presented by a woman and an *ffeminate sounding guy and a normal sounding guy
