Dragon's Dogma 2 temp

Here are 18 minutes of new gameplay from Dragon’s Dogma 2

IGN has shared a video, showcasing 18 minutes of brand new gameplay footage from Dragon’s Dogma 2. This video showcases the Fighter, Thief, Warrior, and Sorcerer classes, so be sure to watch it.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a single-player, narrative-driven action RPG. In this game, you get to make a bunch of choices, like how your character looks, their job, who joins your team, and how you handle different parts of the game. The game uses the RE Engine, and promises to have great physics and smart enemies. And, since RE Engine is a really efficient engine, we can assume that it will run smoothly on a wide range of PCs.

In November 2023, Capcom shared the game’s official PC system requirements. According to the PC specs, the game will have some Ray Tracing effects. However, we still don’t know which effects will be enhanced by them. My guess is that we’ll get RT reflections and RT shadows.

Capcom will release Dragon’s Dogma 2 on March 22nd. The game will be also using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech at launch. Given Capcom’s history, though, we expect the Japanese team to remove one or two years after the game’s release.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. I can’t wait to play this game again. I loved the original and I have been waiting forever to find another game just like it. I missed out on DDO but this is even better. 2024 is going to spoil me.

  2. I think the problem with this game is

    1) The game is basically a carbon-copy of the first game. To the point many people are asking if this game is simply unused assets from the first game. (Capcom mentioned years ago they were unable to use all assets for the first game, the first game was supposed to be 4 times larger)

    2) The game is $70 and has Denuvo. That is a hard pill to swallow for a game that has no innovation over the first one.

  3. I think the problem with this game is:

    1) This game (DD2) is a carbon-copy of the first game (DD1). Animations, monsters, environment, gameplay, they are extremely similar. To the point many people are asking if this game is simply unused assets from DD1. (Capcom mentioned years ago they were unable to use all assets for DD1, it was supposed to be 4 times larger). There are some changes in vocations and they added auto-aim, but I really struggle to find major updates outside of graphics.

    2) The game is $70 and has Denuvo. Capcom has become very aggressive with DRM and their anti-mod stance. $70 is a hard pill to swallow for a game that has no innovation over the first one. DD1 is DRM-free on GoG, and you can pick it up for $4.79. Before spending $70 on DD2, it might make sense to spend $4 on the first game to know if you even like the genre.

    1. Wut, bruh i’m sorry but what the f are you talkiing about ?

First thing, unused assets? This game is being done in the RE engine, the first one was MT framework even if they were re-using assets the amount of work needed to implement an asset into complelty different engine and not be a huge discrepancy is huge. Also the first game is already more than 10 years old at this point, the quality of the assets is nowhere near the same as a brand next gen title,

Carbon copy point is also pretty debatable, sure the game has similarities otherwise it wouldn’t be a sequel. But if you´re really played the first there has been plenty of footage that showed (Despite how little they actually showed) thath there have been various improvoments across the board

Nothing to say about Denuvo and the 70$ those are valid points.

          1. I am. Talk to him for a few days and you’ll see. Try to tackle as many subjects/titles as possible and you’ll understand soon enough.

P.s. What’s his name? Can’t see blocked ppl.

          2. I can’t apparently he has me blocked because if I try to reply to anything he says it gives me a “content unavailable” in place of his post. I don’t have anyone blocked so it must be at his end

          3. hmm that’s odd. I Haven’t blocked you even tho your last comments werent really friendly and that just goes to show I’m not a snowflake, but apparently he is, and oh boy his mouth runs free sometimes.

“I thought you guys were anti-Cancel Culture and pro-Free Speech?”

“So you are stealing games …. That’s an even bigger problem with your morals …..”

“Sounds to me like you have an Impulse Buying problem ….”

These were some of your comments 🙂

        1. You are as dumb as the person who mindlessly defends a shameless 70$ visual upgrade from a company that takes advantage of their fandom stupidity

          1. You and the dumbass above you including the ones who liked his comment are as dumb as any Capcom consoomer i see on a daily basis on twitter , you think you are doing the right thing liking his comment when you know damn well what Flying was said is 100% correct about this shameless cash-grab , don’t play dumb and throw the idiot word around when you are part of this simp fiesta

          2. Listen Heather dear, i have no idea what you’re talking about, you are off your meds. You’ve got the same MO as the guy above, you’re a fking idiot, and you already know what i do to idiots. bye tanisha.

        1. Imo, these are all the exact same models Capcom had since 2009, they look way too much alike. Yes, they are higher definition, but game companies usually make assets at higher definition and scale down complexity.

I don’t dislike Dragon’s Dogma, it’s a decent 7/10 game with some flaws. But to ask $70 for a game that is so similar, that’s just too much.

          1. Bruh that screenshot is just dishonest, those are monster achetypes of course they gone be similar, just like any RPG.
It’s very clear that Capcom is not showcasing any of the further monsters. Even then they already showcased Sphinx and Medusaa, both that are not available in the first game.

          2. And that is not even taking into account how the fights might have changed from one game to another, as an example.

Now when you fight the griffin, if you scale it while is taking flight to flee the battle, you just take off on its back to a new location. On the first game you would just fall. Look skepticism is good, so I understand you specially the 70$ part that i too don’t agree with it at all, but that being said Capcom has been a roll for a while now and it seems that they really giving the budget to Hideaki Itsuno for DD2 when is well know how the first game got serious cuts. So I’m hopfull, but hey maybe i get burned.

        2. The new cyclops looks nothing like the new one and seeing old enemies or reused content doesn’t mean the game is bad.
I’d be pissed if they made the game look like a saturated cartoony mess instead of looking similar to the original in terms of art design.

These are all sh*t complaints outside the 70 dollar pricepoint and Denuvo, those are valid.

          The game looks fine

      1. R**ARD CAPCOM SIMP ALERT, check your own eyes before you try to check others .. matter of fact CHECK YOUR STANDARDS because you are being laughed at by a company who have a history of having absolutely no shame to scam the likes of you who feed off hype and fake social activities , Capcom is thriving from idiots who are blinded by hype

  4. Two minutes into watching it, and I’m bored and wondering why I’m torturing myself.
Another game for mentally ill tr4nnies and weebs. Disgusting ch*nk loving f4gs 🤮🤮🤮.

  5. Too bad about Denuvo (and the price ouch), it’s one of the only title that i’m looking for this year. I guess i’ll wait.

  6. “Sir we need boss monsters for the game”
“Make huge monkeys and let’s get the hell outta here”

Mfs using the same monsters for about 897 years already.
    Chinese cünts ftw!
But it looks good enough for the 32 seconds I’ve watched.
