Freddie Wong and his team have created an amazing video that puts old school characters (pixels, from the Atari era) with some new school characters, such as Lara Croft, Drake, Ezio and Masterchief. Naturally, this is a top quality video and feels like a tribute to old school gaming. Great news for Assassin’s Creed fans as Michael Fassbender, the man behind some major roles in 300, Xmen: First Class and Prometheus, will produce and star in a movie adaptation of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed. As you already know, the game’s storyline follows Desmond who learns that he is a descendant of famous assassins after being kidnapped by the Knights Templar. Although we don’t know more details about it, we can expect to see Fassbender reprising both Desmond and his ancestor. And given how famous he is, we kind of expect to see Ezio as Desmond’s descendant. A couple of days ago, Ubisoft revealed some unreleased artworks for Assassin’s Creed. Assassin’s Creed was meant to be – back in the days – a co-op Prince of Persia game and today we present you some footage from that early version of it. Okay, I’m speechless. Shi Yao designed an Italian Lonely Town, that is rendered with VRay 2 and 3ds MAX 2011 and is inspired by Assasins Creed Brotherhood. And let me tell you, it looks breathtaking. If Epic’s Samaritan tech demo is anything to go by, then we can easily say that this is how Ubisoft’s action adventure will look like on next generation consoles and PCs.
