Dead or Alive 5: Last Round – Video Review

I did this as more of a quick look than a scripted review, which is a first for me. You’ll find out why as soon as you start the video… As for the game? I was very excited for Dead or Alive 5’s release on PC. Find out if my excitement was justified after the break.

UPDATE:

After investigating this “slow loading times” bug, it appears to be caused by some USB devices. Or at least that’s what Steam users claimed on the game’s Steam store page. This issue affects a number of PC gamers. We find it inexcusable that Tecmo Koei has not resolved it yet. It’s been almost a month since its release and this can easily described as a “game-breaking” issue.

        1. No it doesn’t but it certainly makes it look better and playing on 4k kills all the jaggies so it’s a better experience if not the best.

    1. Fanboys, get over it, the PORT sucks. Its funny how people say that the game is good just because it meets the minimal requirements PC port should have.
No achievements, no cloud saves, no save if your steam name have symbols or weird characters, no camera control as consoles, weird setup for xbox 360 joystick without a chance to change button config. If someone dump the arcade version of the game it will be much better to download that than buy this. Now wait 2 months for online knowing that the netcode will suck as it does on consoles.
Fanboys are sending a message to all Japanese devs, “no matter how sh**ty your PC ports will be, we still buying it because waifu BOOBS”

    2. Even two missing stages, LOL. really? Now tell me you dont care about missing content liar…
EDIT: WOW my comment got deleted, it seems someone can say DSOG content is crap but I cant call someone F-A.N.B.O.Y.
      1. NO ACHIEVEMENTS.
      2. NO CLOUD SAVES.
      3. CAMERA CONTROL MISSING.
      4. WEIRD CONTROL SETUP, CANT CHANGE ANALOG STICKS DEFAULT SETUP or TRIGGERS.
      5. NO SAVES FOR NAMES WITH WEIRD CHARACTERS.
      6. LONG LOADING TIMES FOR MANY PEOPLE.
      7. LOW RES TEXTURES.
      8. ONLINE IN THREE MONTHS AFTER LAUNCH, CONSOLE GAMERS REPORT NETCODE IS BAD AND LAGGY:
      9. MISSING CONTENT.
BUT the game is “GUD” because 4k and waifus.

      2. Dude chill out. Nobody is defending this game. I don’t even own it nor do I plan to buy it (so I can’t be a f.a.n.b.o.y) but you don’t have to take everything so personal. I said and MEAN that “this game isn’t that bad (performance wise) on a decent PC as Spence shows it to us”. Got it ?

        1. I didn’t say it was that bad, I said it should have been an Early Access launch. Then all of its issues would be acceptable but they aren’t in a full release, full stop.

The game is still worthwhile & I hope to see it patched, I’m not one of these PC critics who doesn’t *get* Japanese games but there’s a lot of bugs and that’s undeniable.

    1. LIFE HAPPENED! Also the last episode I did was heavy on h8rs trying to rain on my parade. Including one guy who claimed I STOLE THE CONCEPTTTTTT FROM HIM! As though I’m some common 2 bit thief….

I’m at least an 8 BIT! Nah it should return, eventually. Life sh*t happened, sorry PC bro.
