ZOMBI – PC 4K Resolution Screenshots Show The Graphical Update From The WiiU Version

Ubisoft’s zombie game, ZOMBI, has just been released on the PC and we’re bringing you some 4K resolution screenshots from its first scenes. As we can see, the game shows its WiiU roots. While Ubisoft implemented a number of minor graphical updates, ZOMBI does not stand a chance against all other triple-A PC titles. Enjoy the screenshots after the jump!

    1. Yeah, it’s strange how you cant really see it but still it’s really apparent when you know what style to look for. Just adds blur, doesnt look that good imo.

      1. I honestly still dont know what that is. I saw some pictures and stuff and i still cant see it in games. GTA 5 looked the same way with and without it. Maybe i dont really know what to look for? I mean its supposed to make stuff blurry but.. >_>

          1. Why do people even use it? Is it to remove Aliasing? Anything that makes the screen blurry kind of does that.. but i aint a huge of those methods.

What exactly do they think it will do? Make the game more cinematic if we cant really see it properly? I mean anything blurry looks more realistic lol, it doesnt mean i dont hate it tho.

        1. It’s supposed to emulate a failure of the focus of the colors being refracted through the lenses (at least that’s what I’ve understood), something that may varies depending of the lenses of the camera. It is supposed to be corrected (otherwise blurriness ahoy) and I don’t know what dumbf’ck in the gaming industry though that it was a good idea to slap it in every bloody game nowadays.

It works well in some games (very, very, very, few IMO), but it needs to stop or at least having a option to turn it down/off.

          1. Wow, i wonder if the games with it will look even better without it.. GTA 5 comes to mind right now. I heard a ton of people hating on that option. People are even modding it out!

          2. From personal experience, only one game I’ve played with it: Dead Space. It gave it a interesting look, but then again, I tweaked it using Reshade (or GedoSato I can’t remember), so it worked for me at that particular game, in every other game I’ve found it to be quite distracting/awful.

          3. I believe it is meant to emulate what we call “noise” in the digital-photo industry. Poor lighting, incorrect ISO settings, exposure time, and quality of the digital sensor all cause forms of “noise.” It is akin to film grain.

    2. Agree, they using it way way to little..LOL!
What a F*CKN disaster for a game, that ugly POS CA is a thing that should be illigal damnit!

    1. Really? i saw some pics and comparisons and they looked the same way? Are you sure lol. Maybe its just the resolution?

Anyway, how is the game? is it fun? I loved dying light, would i like this one?

      1. Probably the res, i personally only paid 12$ for that game and i’m happy for that i can’t stand it, the way the character fights or something is bad and on the Wii U i found the controller or tablet to get in the way. Overall i don’t recommend it and i’m still playing dying light never beat it at the second part fun.

Also i’d like to note i do like survival games(like the old resident evils) which is why i got it anyways but sadly this one isn’t that great. Its not like its completely awful i’d give it a 6/10

        1. Dying Light gave me some much needed Stalker-like feelings. I love the atmosphere in those games. The weather, the sound effects, the lightning in the dark. Its all good.

  1. Can someone remove that chrome aberration/green filter w/e it is called and post some pictures ? I really wonder how the game looks without it

  2. The graphics are just the same. But in 4k everything looks a bit better. But the graphics still being crappysoft. The art direction is a different monster, im in love with it. And the atmosphere you get involved is nothing like. I mean its a true survival horror game.
Its not a hard game, but the fact that your character CANT jump and zombies can go through everything makes you feel so oppressed and hunted…
Other good positive point of this release is loading times. I heard loading times on wiiU system were awful
But one thing is clear… still ubicrap. Still U(dont)play… still no buy.

    1. I recommend playing it on the Wii U. The touch screen controller has some interesting uses. Otherwise, yeah, my 980 is only running at like 40% usage at 4K. SLI isn’t supported, nor is it needed I guess.
