Topware has released a new set of screenshots from the upcoming upgraded version of Two Worlds II. Two Worlds II will receive a major engine update that will allow for a much higher level of character and landscape detail, an HD-GUI, in addition to tons of in-game achievements, co-op multiplayer, and lots of new in-game features and upgrades. Enjoy!

Hmm, I really liked this series but Graphics Engine was never their strong suit.
You can say many bad things about the series, but visuals are certainly not on the list. One of the most beautiful RPGs for its time.
This is from 2006:
I agree, graphics was not an issue with this game.
You mean, aside from the fact that my screenshots are from Two Worlds (2006) and the article is about Two Worlds II (2011)?
Everything about Reality Pump and Topware is concerning. Raven’s Cry is a double disaster, and Sacrilegium (which was in development for 3+ years) is nowhere to be seen.
I just wanted to say that TW games looked good on release (main menu with the sunny landscape is from TW1), but this visual upgrade looks more like another PS4 re-release, and TW3 may be as bad as Raven’s Cry.
I prefer Gothic 3 to TW1 and TW2 though. 🙂
It’s hard not to. TW series is pretty mediocre.
They need to fix that terible console UI firts !
That’s cool, and new dlc coming too in prep for Two Worlds III. I might have to give it a go its under $3 on steam right now so no great investment.
Any one w/ experience can summarize what this game is about? I know its nominally an RPG, but how does it play? Like Dragon Age or more turn based like Divinity? How is the leveling system? All I’ve really heard was it was much better than the original
more like divinity 2 mixed with risen 2 and 3
I couldn’t play any of the risen gamse for more than 10 minutes cumulative. I got at least 30 hours out of Two Worlds II.
same i even played gothic arcana more
story and voice acting is a disaster, keep in mind that two worlds 2 is made by the same studio as raven cry, it’s much better than raven’s cry though
Speaking of Raven’s Cry, how does the re-release fares? Does anyone know?
Almost as bad as the original. You can read the Steam reviews.
Well lighting makes an awesome difference and all. But speaking for myself, it wasn’t the graphics that hurt hte game, it was the devs in MP abusing their bans, MP being garbage to begin with. Single player front the map and terrain was atrocious, getting stuck on horses like no other. Hard to believe the game was from 2006 though.
well done i dont really remember any of this.
Still on my favorite Euro RPGs, despite no achieving my hype at all.

Is this a free patch for the PC version or are they planning on releasing it on the PS4/XB1 like a enhanced edition?
What does this Arkham Knight bullshot has to do with RPGs from 2006 and 2011 respectively? Both games looked very good when they came out.
it’s there to show you how games are supposed to look and the fact that Two Worlds III will not look anything close to a 2015 game.
We were talking about a different matter.
I wonder if this is a free update for those who already own it?
Dude, you’re trying to compare a 2015 game to one 6 years its senior. That makes virtually ZERO sense. If you want to compare it to something, first, compare it to a game one the same system with the same capabilities (I.E. not PS3 to PS4 like you did here with Batman).
But another RPG on said system. So either Kingdoms of Amalur, Dragon Age, Dragons Dogma, Final Fantasy XIII etc.
