Ubisoft has just revealed two new screenshots from the PC version of The Division in glorious 4K resolution (these feel more like bullshots but that’s typical nowadays). In addition, the French company confirmed the rumoured PC requirements, and claimed that the PC version won’t be a mere console port. Enjoy the screenshots after the jump!

Mmmm noticed the lack of the words “In game” in the title .
The beta will prove it, no ways would they show a superior version of the game that puts the console version to shame.
Why not ? Everyone who saw the PC version (when they went out to play it in Sweden) said the PC version looked much better.
It naturally would but not like these two screens
True, but I do think the screens are from the game without a whole lot of touching up.
It’s just that
– It’s 4k, meaning greater level of detail in general
– Most importantly, bullshots as in, taken in particular places in particular lighting conditions.
– A vignette effect is also used (although that is present as an option)
These could definitely be from the game. Just expect the game to look much flatter and less detailed most of the time.
look at the newest comments… that’s a real screen…
Look at some of the 4k screenshots released by players. They look mindblowing. It’s not too hard to believe that these promotional 4k shots were not touched up.
They’re obviously misleading, but they could be straight from the game without much or any manipulation.
The “beta” may not prove anything, i’ve heard rumblings of the beta only low res textures to keep the file size down. The RELEASE will prove it.
It miight be just like R6 Siege and get high res textures after release.
Fair point, the beta files have leaked online sitting at 28gb which is quite big for a beta, I got my hands on a beta key so I’m waiting for the pre load
me too 🙂
I’m more concerned about the gameplay than the graphics, could be great could be awful. This we will know from the beta.
More lies
Well, we’ll have to see about that. However, if we aren’t straight up assuming that they’re lying right now, those screens are VERY promising. They may be bullshots, but that still doesn’t change the fact that they show fantastic detail, texture quality, lighting etc (even after taking bullshot possibility into consideration)
Are you dim? That is the whole point, bullshots are edited and pimped up to look better than what the actual game offers. Do you not understand the problem?
Bullshots often mean shots taken from certain angles and in certain places, in the best lighting conditions. The game won’t look as good in general.
Texture quality is not something that’s going to be affected by this. If I look at objects and see high quality textures, It’s because those objects have good textures. Also, number of objects and general detail in a scene. That’s not something they’re going to pump up in photoshop
The lighting thing is a bit more vague, and, I’ll admit that this can be heavily affected. Infact, that looks to be the case here. People have released some PC screenshots running on ultra… and the lighting looks flat…
There are so many examples of pimped out textures in bullshots.
You realize that they take these in their engine SDK so that it looks like it’s in-game, that means that they can add higher quality assets to the scene, that are otherwise non present in the actual game. Ubisoft has always done that for their promotional pictures.
The issue with bullshots has never been the angle or location, of course they will select an interesting time and place for the picture.
If it looks like those and will have SLI support on launch then I am buying it. It looked horrible in beta screenshots so I hope it turns out like this but if anything gaming has taught me is that never trust Ubisoft so no preordering.
Nice now do it without photshop
i could be wrong but those dont look like in-game screenshots at all
If this is true then it is a 1st steep for recovering there reputation.
Looks like in-game screens to me. Look at the pictures that a 2 year old game like BF4 can produce when running at 4K.
Well, that’s see if someone can reproduce those screenshot on the PC version on launch
Mention of hbao+, cue gameworks moaning from usual crowd to account for AMD having worse performance than Nvidia cards??
Can we at least wait until the game is released before the crying starts?
Looks easily like concept art and bullshots…..I do not trust.
If this is real, the game is not downgraded. Too good to be true, maybe?
Bullshots lmao.
Seems like Global Illumination got the shaft…
If this is in-game then quite nice otherwise, my heart tells me to believe but my brains tells me “whyy youu lyinnnn why uuu alwayss lyiin”
WOW At last they are no more mere amateurs, they became professionals.. deceiving consumers/gamers!
Beautiful art direction as always. I dont get why the F* they insist on downgrades and bullshoots. To correct myself i dont get why they insist on system parity.
ubi… there must be non Peasents oriented devs on your studio… guys that would die to push pc hardware and deliver finished games the way they created… not the way sonya and bones allow it
Why not create a pc only studio called maybe “the division” and let that guys save the ubisoft name
Everyone knows that the games will not looks like that…. and the sad part is that you got a build running on pc looking like that. And you are downgrading it… cuz its easy to kill the pc version and put 100% of your effort trying to find a way to run your game at least af 30 fps on a console crap… hope some day someone from ubisoft read this and feel bad about it. 🙂
damn it’s too good to be true, i’ll have wait until i see actual PC gameplay
I will believe it when I see it
Pure bullshots.
Heh GTX 970 recommended, if it looks like those screens you’re going to need a better card than that.. and for 1080p, nevermind higher res.
Not sure what the fuss is with all this 4k jazz, GPU’s aren’t powerful enough.. unless you’re talking 30fps and below.
Yes, 4K will be the king when Pascal and Polaris come out.
some nice bullshots
looks like concept art to me
Still far from E3 quality..
Ui Customization is nice addition.
this is ubisoft we are talking about.. how many times PC gamers got shafted? wait the game is out before buying. that’s my advice.
Just the fact that they did this in 4k makes me very suspicious. It’s like a blatent way of making the game seem better than it is. Put any game out now in 4k and it will look good. wh
Just the fact that they did this in 4k makes me very suspicious. It’s like a blatant way of making the game seem better than it is. Put any game out now in 4k and it will look good. Not to mention that only 1-2% of players will be able to play at that resolution anyway.
Is that Cutscene ?
Here is a real screen. Sorry for double posting please delete the comment on hold XD
My God
Totally fake screenshots from Ubisoft. Don’t buy the game on this. It’s concept art/target render. You will never see that in the game.
pls tell me that is with low settings XD
also what worries me is that a 8 core ( I7-4790k@4.7) is been used at 75%. I wonder if my i7 2600k will be enough
