The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Modded Looks Phenomenal Even Today

With the release of the latest current-gen titles these past few months, one would expect to see a noticeable difference between Skyrim modded and these triple-A games. Well, it appears that modders have outdone themselves as the modded version Skyrim still looks phenomenal, even for today’s standards. Below you can find some images from ENBSeries members. Enjoy!

  1. Game does not suck it’s a good action RPG with emphasis on action as its RPG elements have been reduced to a bare minimum.

      1. That I wouldn’t know, never played any of the Gothic series.
I’m trying to reduce my backlog before I pick them >.<

      2. Why compare it to that POS? It’s not even a Gothic game and it’s not even developed by Piranha byes, I’d play Gothic 3 over Skyrim any day and so would my friends who I recently introduced it to, they’re both are TES fans.

  2. Enough with this skyrim screenshot already..geez..does it have to be like this everytime a bethesda game comes out ??

    1. This site is about visuals to a certain extent. Naturally when something phenomenal looking comes along they are going to report on it- which is why I come here, visuals interest me. Also as a modder of Bethesda Games I’m glad to see someone cover my hobby. If you find this so upsetting I suggest next time you just scroll on past.

  3. Skyrim with so many mods does not have a framerate. Atleast the games it rivals have framerates, usually more than 60.

      1. Well I was implying by forcing 4k/8k, loading ungodly textures, you have what 5fps? Are you seriously going to play the game like that?

        1. My Skyrim is fully modded, and looks almost identical to some of these screen shots. I run the game at 2560×1440 and get 60fps at all times.

Granted, that’s with dual GTX 780’s. It doesn’t take a massive amount of horsepower to run some of these mods.

  4. I think DSOG sometimes has excessive posts on cosmetics of games, too much more than actual game news.

    1. How long have you been on DSOG? This is a visuals/graphics oriented site, and has been for years.

  5. as usual you can make screenshots look great but a few seconds of in engine movement and it’s all too evident this is a game built on an engine from the early 2000s.

        1. Texture resolution works like this:

          512×512>1024×1024>2048×2048>4096×4096.

Putting “K” on numbers just simplifies it for the layman.

  6. Laughable. The bullshots have much more dense vegetation. Saying “looks like” is an insult to the attached bullshots.

Let me put my argument this way. Let us say they are pushing 100% out of the engine. This is unplayable. The average player pushes out 80-90% at 30-60fps. Because of some stupid japanese HDT SMP hairs I have to maintain something lower than 60fps otherwise the collision goes insane.

Mods like JK’s skyrim which add much more assets to the environment in cities drop as low as 22fps. Probably a dx9 draw call bottleneck.

    1. Why don’t you go try them yourself instead of making assumptions. Every F**king time we get comments like what you say, go look at videos or try it yourself before commenting.
