Resident Evil 3 Raccoon City PC Demo 4K/Max Settings Screenshots

The PC demo of Resident Evil 3 Remake is now available on Steam, and below you can find some 4K screenshots on Max settings. These screenshots showcase the graphics that you can expect from this brand new Resident Evil title.

In order to capture these screenshots, we used an Intel i9 9900K with 16GB of DDR4 at 3600Mhz. Naturally, we’ve paired this machine with an NVIDIA RTX 2080Ti. We also used Windows 10 64-bit and the latest version of the GeForce drivers. Naturally, we also included the MSI Afterburner in our screenshots so you can get an idea of the game’s 4K performance.

Resident Evil 3 Remake uses the RE Engine and looks better than Resident Evil 2 Remake. The main character models are ridiculously detailed, and Capcom has used a lot of high-resolution screenshots. Unfortunately, though, the game still suffers from the “noisy” reflections that plagued Resident Evil 2 Remake.

Performance wise, our NVIDIA RTX2080Ti was able to offer a smooth gaming experience in 4K and on Max settings. There were some minor drops to 61fps, though, so things may get even worse at later stages. In our opinion, a custom 3328×1872 resolution will be ideal for this game.

Resident Evil 3 Remake releases on April 3rd.

Enjoy!

  1. What’s their obsession with Vignette. It’s the new chromatic abbreviation. Stop forcing trash features in our games. Give us the option.

    1. It’s not long enough to be timed. This demo literally takes 8 minutes, even less, if you know what you’re doing and the controls actually work.

      1. yea it was very short much shorter than the re2 demo i finished it in a few minutes unlike the re2 demo where i could explore(with the crack that unlock the time limit)

  2. All the same issues with the previous game are still in this one.
Every AA setting but FXAA+TAA is a jagged mess.
The vignette effect is still there and as annoying as ever and can’t be disabled in the menu.
Reflections are still borked and glitchy

    1. And there are people who think it’s very solid PC product… And don’t forget the 30 fps zombie animations on the background and the knife damage tied to framerate, the game is good but the PC port is just ok in my opinion

      1. The game is designed to run at high framerates, which is why you see some of the issues you mention. Didn’t they fix both of your complaints though??

          1. Gotcha. 30 fps animations are clearly present on 3 also, but It rarely distracts me thankfully. I did notice it though.

          2. In my opinion if a modder can fix these technical issues, that means it doesn’t have to be here in first place, maybe they did it for optimisation or i don’t know, but i didn’t noticed any framedrops with the mod, even then just make a toggle on the options so everyone’s happy, i’ll not make this statement for an indy game, but it’s a big AAA and one of the most important of the year, i love the current Capcom and not just complaining like a d*ck, i just ask for the level of polish i expect from them

          3. You’re not wrong. It is something that can be fixed, and probably should. Just tied the setting into another graphical setting, like geometry complexity or something. But, I bet the number of people who even notice is very small, with us being the exception. I never really noticed it in 2, but did notice it in 3 for some reason.
I didn’t see a way to request the change anywhere online sadly.

          4. Let’s wait for modders, and as you said, it’s not that annoying after all…

          5. It’s even more noticeable now since there’s tons of open space and lighted up places in contrast with dark cramped corridors filled with doors.

The game looks promising but these are issues that persist and that could easily be solved on a PC and yet they won’t be.

          6. Sorry man, i linked the mod but the comment was deleted i think, just google it, you’ll find it on Nexus, very easy to use

          7. I shared the Nexus mod’s page, it said waiting for approval then nothing, i don’t know what went wrong, i was not accusing you btw, and what a quick reaction lol

          8. Some may have thought that we deleted it on purpose (and start accusing us of not respecting our Comment Policy Poll), which is why I replied 😉

      2. I liked the demo but your are right about the background animations. I hope in the final game we will be able to edit the difficulty. Also the dodge feels a bit like cheating imho.

        1. Yeah with the dodge mechanic i think a high level of difficulty is mandatory, especially if you’re a RE2 veteran

    2. But FXAA+TAA looks pretty good, so what’s the issue here?
Vignette can be turned off. I
Reflections still aren’t great, but they have very little impact on performance. I think that’s why they did it the way they did (console performance). I would like to see that aspect improved for sure. It’s improved from the previous one though.

      1. TAA is a blurry greasy mess and no, vignette cannot be turned off, there’s literally no option to turn it off.
I wouldn’t care about reflections if they didn’t glitch out and started making some parts of the level pop up black dots.

  3. Here is steam code that I Dont need
Resident Evil Revelations 2 – Episode 1: Penal Colony

  4. I want a nude mod, not completely nude but just her tyts hanging out like a damn savage african tribe woman.

  5. I loved the Demo and cant wait for the full release. The only thing I was disappointed in was that again at a distance the zombie models were rendered at 30fps instead of 60fps witch now that the environments were more open stuck out more then before. But maybe mods will unlock this later or I´m hoping it was just a Demo thing. Regardless I loved the demo.

  6. I thought the game was very visually impressive. It’s weird going from RE2 to 3 with the emphasis being so much more on action, but it’s true to the original in that way I guess.

  7. Demo is ass so far. The controls are completely screwed up; control prompts show in keyboard despite recognizing controller; there’s only two controller schemes and neither one is remotely close to the traditional RE3 playstation control scheme everyone is used to.

That’s to say nothing of the fact that this game still has some of RE2 Remake’s most significant bugs like the controller desync.

  8. Demo is garbo. The controls are completely screwed up; control prompts show in keyboard despite recognizing controller; there’s only two controller schemes and neither one is remotely close to the traditional RE3 playstation control scheme everyone is used to. Here’s an example: Y button on XB controller is “mouse 2” except when you get grappled by an enemy, it says to mash Mouse 2, and it literally doesn’t recognize the Y button at all.

That’s to say nothing of the fact that this game still has some of RE2 Remake’s most significant bugs like the controller desync, or ridiculous graphical issues like 30fps background zombie animnations, terrible anti-aliasing, chromatic aberration, misreporting the needed amount of VRAM for settings, etc. Also has some of the more annoying, lore breaking gameplay issues. I blew that zombies head at the bottom of the stairs in the picture above, clean off, she had no head. She got back up after that and tried to attack me. This happened to me in RE2R with the cop zombie who gets bitten in half. I destroyed his entire head. He crawled around 4 times when I came back there.

And before you bust out your fake PCMR ignorance on me – RE was meant to be played on a controller. Always has been, always will be, including RE7. That’s how I’m going to play it and until they fix these issues, the game is trash. It eschews the standard control scheme that every single RE game in the history of time has had – that’s 13 third person games including outbreak series – and circle/b for instance on PC isn’t even the cancel button. TFOH.

It’s also 8 minutes long and the only thing it shows is that the previous games issues are still front and center (and a stupid new ability that Nemesis has).

I pre-ordered and I’m not going to refund it but I’m considering it.
