New Screenshots Show The Amazingly Detailed Beauty Of Skyrim’s Environments

Ah, the beauty of mods. Contrary to our previous galleries, this time we’ll be focusing on Skyrim’s environments and show how beautiful they look once you mod the game. Modders have even introduced glorious raindrops, as well as new textures and Parallax Occlussion Mapping. Skyrim keeps getting better and better, so enjoy the following shots from ENBSeries members charlievoviii, forbeatn, laufeyarterion, pastrana and Pfuscher.

  1. I probably spend %95 time modding skyrim them actually playing it now a days. I mean I know the game inside out so I get bored pretty fast but still, modding gives the game life again from time to time.

      1. Id recommend going to YouTube and looking up a guy named Gopher. He does videos on how to install mods and what they do and speaks very clearly and doesnt assume you know what you’re doing so he’s a good source for people who’re just starting out. Go to his page and look for Skyrim Mod Sanctuary and just follow the trail of videos lol.

          1. No problem. It def takes a lot of reading and researching when starting out. You’ll need Nexus Mod Manager and a program called Loot. I personally use http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/? . All of which you can learn about from Gopher. I’d start with one of his first how-to videos and just watch several. Most of the time you can do as he does while watching the videos and add mods at the same time. It’s always a good idea to add say 4 mods than run the game to make sure everything is fine. Always always read the descriptions to each mod as some mods need installed before others. Once you get used to it man its a breeze and a absolute blast taking the game to the next level. Once you do this you’ll never buy a Bethesda game(Fallout/The Elder Scrolls) on another platform besides PC(assuming you play other platforms). Have fun!

      2. Be prepared for hours, days, weeks and months even of non-stop tweaking and troubleshooting. modding skyrim to look like it does in these pictures can be a pain, but it’s worth it if you get them working.

      3. If you want a game with depth then get Gothic 3 with the community patch, Skyrim lacks serious depth and dumbed do so badly to the point where you realise this game feels like it was made for 12 year olds and it’s seriously convoluted.

    1. hardest mod that i’ve ever used in skyrim was boob physics :)) it took me a day to learn how to use it

          1. At least with New Vegas the bugs are part of the charm and work with mods to provide hilarity

Nothing will never be funnier than Sniping in VATS. Getting a crit and watching the body flail about in the air squirting blood everywhere as limbs go flying (Thank you EVE Mod). When I downloaded Project Nevada. I had to turn back on Vanilla Physics because PN’s pre-set just was not as fun.

Skyrim is just kinda boring. It’s a great stress tester for your PC. But I can’t seem to get into it.

          2. the fun parts as you said are just mods. but you won’t have to get into it, wait for their next game, wait a year then purchase it. if you intersted, because skyrim really is boring and maybe their next game

  2. Looks great. Where do you get these pictures? I’d like to find out what mods are used in these.

  3. I need to try and get the ENB effects working. I still use the workshop that came with the legendary edition. Anyone know if you have to turn those off I order to use ENB’s?

      1. they said ComicCon demo is going to be public but GamesCom will be behind closed doors. it turns out it was public but only for people at CC. in short, it was behind closed doors

  4. Holy shite! those parallax look glorious. Not many games use parallax with that kind of depth. I wonder how they look in-game though. I probably have to downsample so it will look like that
