  1. If you already own Hard Reset or Shadow Warrior (2013) you get 85% off on Hard Reset Redux. I only paid $3 for it a few hours ago. Awesome deal.

“We’re also really happy to announce that we’re doing a loyalty program for everyone who owns any version of the original Hard Reset. Here’s how the plan works in a nutshell:

Owners of any version Hard Reset receive an 85% discount on Hard Reset Redux: All owners of any digital version of the original Hard Reset will receive an 85% discount on Hard Reset Redux. This discount will go into effect today, and will last for the lifetime of the game. Please note that this discount is non-stackable though, so it cannot increase in combination with other promotions of the game.

You don’t have to do anything: This discount will show up automatically when you purchase Hard Reset Redux, so you don’t have to do anything to get as long as you’ve purchased some version of Hard Reset in the past with the same Steam Account that you’re using to purchase Hard Reset Redux.

Fun for Shadow Warrior Fans too!: All owners of Flying Wild Hog’s epic rebirth of Shadow Warrior (2013) will also receive this discount, and everything above applies to them as well.

We really hope that this program is clear enough to everyone, and we can’t wait for you guys to experience Hard Reset Redux for yourselves!! Cyber Katanas for everyone!”

        1. Really that would be dissappointing, but sense it was done for the consoles I guess not surprising. I dropped the $3 for it as an old owner. D/L now and will be able to tell for myself soon

      1. Its an overhaul. A lot of things have been changed, like a new engine, enemy placements, melee etc. Enough to call it a Remake.

          1. Same old texture work as well the more I look at those screenshots, I’ve seen better than this.

        1. You know fine well I meant patch the original so it has all of the features that the redux version has

      2. most of these redux versions run worse and have more glitches then the original, im glad they are not patches but separate games.

      3. But, stuff like the graphical updates cost them money and time to develop, manpower. It’s not like they are patching a bug or problem w/ the original game, I don’t find $3 to be too much to pay for better graphics, new enemies and new weapons

    1. Thanks for the heads up, they had the same thing w/ dead island def edition the other day

    2. so… why do owners of the game get screwed over while owners OF A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GAME get the same discount? im just gonna pirate it. screw the dev and publisher of this game. SW2? Preorder canceled, gonna pirate now, f.u/

    1. well, people play Halo and Gears Of War. So, yeah, there are a lot of people care about this game.

  2. The more I look at these screens, the more I notice how the textures are still rather low res, hell the recent Dead Island games had their textures revamped almost entirely and they look far better than the originals, this however doesn’t really do the game justice at all.

    1. The Redux is downgraded. Weaker AO, Textures are more blurrier and the lighting is totally weaker in scenes. Candyland on youtube posted a video about it.

  3. As an old owner, this re release has me interested. The original game had alot of things going for it, like the enviromental interactivity, like shooting a power box to cause arcs which will fry enemies, but there was something in the balance that just put me off from really diving in. I don’t mind a challenge but too often I found I was swarmed by tons of little enemies, similar to serious sam 3 but lacking the firepower to deal w/ them like you had in SS3.

Hoping the rebalance and the fact they are mainly do the re release to target current gen consoles provides a smoother difficulty curve. The graphics certainly look alot better, like they added physically based render for materials. I loved the Shadow Warrior remake by the same Dev’s so hope this redux will help this game. Also for me at least $3 is not too bad for old owners

  4. The graphics downgrade compared to the original is a little disappointing, but The game is still fun and it’s only $3. Would have liked to see MSAA 2x and 4x options like the original game, the only option here is FXAA.
