  1. I’m one of those people who actually enjoyed the expansions more than the original game. Got Half-Lfie and it’s two expansions for 50p last year. Best 50p I’ve ever spent.

  2. Considering how i played and finished both of those games like 30 times (yes, really 30 times!).. i simply cannot wait to play them. I’m still replaying Black Mesa, and i’m loving every second of it!

  3. Footnote: While they ARE using an extremely similar name for the Project, this is a completely separate Team from the one working on the Black Mesa Mod itself, so the two Projects are not to be confused in the least.

The Black Mesa Steam guys are still busy working on the Surface Tension Uncut & Xen portions of the base game, whereas these guys here are doing 2 of the 3 Half-Life Expansion Packs. No word on the 3rd yet.

No word on if they’ll end up collaborating with the Black Mesa Team in the end either.

Regardless, exciting stuff, not only is Half-Life base being remade, but the Expansions too! 😀

  4. Blue Shift was a phenomenal expansion. Really looking forward to the remake. Hopefully they won’t change the pace of the game. Black Mesa was awesome but its gameplay felt a bit slower compared to the original.
