New Metro Exodus screenshots showcase some of the game’s environments

4A Games has released a new set of screenshots for Metro Exodus, showcasing some of the environments that players will explore in it. In addition, you can find below a screenshot from one of the game’s NPCs, as well as one for Lurkers (scavengers that feast on the fallen).

Metro Exodus will be using NVIDIA’s Hairworks and Advanced PhysX effects, as well as real-time ray tracing effects for ambient occlusion and global illumination. 4A Games has not clarified whether the RTX will be available from the get-go.

The game is currently scheduled for a February 15th. Enjoy the screenshots and stay tuned for more!

  1. Looking good! Hopefully this game is amazing, because it could turn out to be horrible with all the game-play changes.

  2. Look at this, now look at fallout 4 and 76 and rage 2 and the new far cry.

This is how you do a post apocalyptic game godamn it.

  3. If you’re taking about the recent open-sourcing of Physx then no. However if it’s like their previous Physx implementation then … you can fully enabled Physx strictly on the CPU and the performance impact is really slight, given the Metro games are tremendously well optimized RAM, GPU and CPU wise and Physx has always worked marvelous on the CPU only in them.

  4. Oh boy…I pre ordered 4 games only like ever, the ones I knew were going to be great and got me hyped as f*** (Gran Turismo 5 Signature Edition on PS3, Battlefield 3 on PC, Metro: Last Light on PC and The Witcher 3 on PC)…This is going to be the 5th I guess…4A makes solid games and I love well done post-apocalypse games (STALKER fan here)…I truly trust in these developers.
