Alongside its story trailer, 2K Games has released some new Mafia III screenshots that can be viewed below. Mafia III releases on October 7th and these new screenshots showcase the game’s visuals. Enjoy!

2K realized another game with same italian mafia and their rivalry is not going to sell, so they changed the perspective. I have mixed feeling about this game so far but any original approach rather than a sequel is welcome

Smh. Downgraded from what exactly? This is already looking like a really decent open world game. In my opinion it’s probably better looking than games like The Witcher 3 (which is massive so there’s that).
The entire Mafia series was based on a fictional city and characters. Whereas this one is set on a real historical location that’s still present to this day. It’s also using events that acctually occured during the 60s. If anything this is is more historically accurate than the first two but it’s still fiction. I honestly expected the PC community to be more mature, open minded and educated than this to be honest.
All in all, it’s looking great but I’d rather see it in motion. I find it hard to trust official screenshots these days 😛
Now i know why every trailer and screenshots so far were captured during night time, textures and draw distance looks really bad, I remember one of the developers said mafia 3 is like a fast hollywood action movie (or something like that), If you put all of these together, It sounds like it’s going to run 60fps on consoles which is not a good news

Well PS4 users are going to have to buy the PS4k now to get that “super charged PC” experience again. If it’s released next year then it’s going to be out dated by Polris 10 and Pascal yet again.
The Division, Just Cause 3 look way better than those screens, maybe they just bad screenshots because they just don’t look good. Some of the faces look great but I bet they are cut scene bullsh*t rendered in higher detail.

I was mocking them the other day saying i will buy a console so i wont have to upgrade every year.
The division is not really open world the enviroments are small and it does not even have vehicles.
It’s not small and you can go up building and inside them, there is also loads of vehicles everywhere but of course no one is driving because the city is shut down, everyone left their vehicles.

How many times u see the enemies having the same face skin?! Quite disappointing. Hopefully they will add more variable skins and expressions to the enemies faces during the firefight.

Well graphics wise it still has ways to go. Especially the shadows. Looks like its Beta. I am pleased tho that they are true about their current visuals state unlike The Division which tried to cheat its way in… uummmhkkk
