          1. Keep on insulting…..it will totally validate your point…..if you even have one….. so funny 😀

      1. Meh – it’s the internet. If there’s one thing I’ve learned these 20 years online it’s that you can’t fight stupid people.

Besides, it’ll just be absorbed into our culture and eventually lose all meaning. One day you’ll hear some grandmother call someone a “thirsty mastarace trollin’ noob” and you won’t even think twice about it.

        1. Nothing better than the idiots that lurks poligon or kotaku, thinking their consoles are the best thing invented so far after the wheel or the fire.

          1. look at this idiot, playing games on pc makes you a sony fanboy. Understanding why some games run at 30 fps makes you a sony fanboy. No man, posts like yours make you a complete idiot. But i don’t blame you, 80% of this site’s appeal is watching you guys act re**rded. About the shirt. I work out. That is me in the picture. I show myself and use my real name. You guys are anonymous s**ts from the internet that talk and act like 10 year old little children.

      2. Common guys look at the picture of his profile, that shirt is too tight that is imposible to the blood get to the brain, dont feed the sony troll…

  1. Those are some HUGE improvements, I would never would have thought Kojima out of all people would go this far. Props to him, his studio and the engine!

  2. Better make use of the 4GB of vram minimum. Don’t know if you all saw but they updated the requirements. Now it’s a lot more demanding

    1. Oh they easily might, consoles has 8GB unified memory. Up to how well they optimize to different memory architectures PC provides.

  3. One of the biggest reasons I am excited over this ( other than being a MG fan ) is Konami is awesome at PC optimization. Ever played Castlevania LoS2?? AMAZING ON PC!!!

    1. Konami was only the publisher, they didn’t have anything to do with optimization in the LoS games. That credit goes to MercurySteam.

  4. The resolution is so bad here, how can anyone tell the difference? All I can see is that water now has reflections and the blur and shadow distance is somehow different.

    1. The difference I saw is in SSAO, different type of DoF, water reflections and the draw distance / lod. Honestly, it’s not much to be excited about, but surely better than the latest Ubisoft ports. Especially considering how Asian developers usually treated the PC platform.

      1. They certainly could do much better. On the other hand none of those things will not stop you enjoy the game on any platform.

  5. That’s some major difference. Specially in the lighting, reflection and Depth of field. In third screen, it seems like bulb light is getting refracted on different wet surfaces. Don’t know if it is pre baked or real time effect.

  6. Konami updated the minimum and recommended configurations :

    MINIMUM:

    OS: Windows Vista SP2 x64, Windows 7 x64, Windows 8 x64 (64-bit OS Required)
Processor: Core i5-4460 (3.40GHz) or better *Quad-Core or better
    Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 (4GB) or better (DirectX 11 graphics card required)
    DirectX: Version 11
Hard Drive: 4 GB available space
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card (Surround Sound 5.1)

    RECOMMENDED:

    OS: Windows 7 x64, Windows 8 x64 (64-bit OS Required)
Processor: Core i7-4790 (4.00GHz) or better *Quad-Core or better
    Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (DirectX 11 graphics card required)
    DirectX: Version 11
Hard Drive: 4 GB available space
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card (Surround Sound 5.1)

Hideo Kojima also twitted the game’s price in yens : 2362 so around 20$

  7. This is what we like, Konami could launch a direct console port to the PC with some extra things like more antialiasing or a better res, but instead of that they are really optimizing the game for PC, thats cool!!

  8. Kudos to Konami for actually improving on the console version. I figured it’d be a direct port of the PauperStation version.

  9. Oh my dog. The irony between what you propose and how you act is so funny. If only you could see it. You really are the stereotype of how we perceive you, a champion of console players. Hahahahaha…

    1. how can i be a console player when i game on pc. You try to sound witty and smart yet you fail at basic logic. It’s the leit-motif here.
