HECU Collective has released a new set of screenshots for its upcoming fan remake of Half Life Blue Shift in Black Mesa. These new screenshots will give you an idea of the game’s fourth chapter which is currently in development.
In Black Mesa: Blue Shift, players will relive the Black Mesa Incident as Gordon Freeman’s best friend, Barney Calhoun. This fan remake currently has the first two chapters of Blue Shift. These chapters are Living Quarters Outbound and Insecurity.
HECU Collective has also revealed that the maps for Chapter 4 are 70% ready, and the scripts for them are at 50%. The team expects to be releasing this fourth chapter at the end of the Summer.

Looks great. Blue Shift was the shortest in the series but nice this is being remade!
Wanna see a good Half Life 1 Remake in UNREAL Engine 5
There’s a mod in the works, coming soon.
That actually looks decent. I’m intrigued. Never played Blue Shift (never finished the original Half Life either).
You really should finish Half Life or better yet do a full replay. It’s a great classic. The expansion Opposing Force was really good as well. I didn’t think Blue Shift was very good though but it was worth playing.
I keep thinking I’ll play Black Mesa some day, but I keep forgetting about it.
Or you could replay the original with the brutal half life mod.
