As you may already know, Hayssam ‘icelaglace’ Keilany is working on the next version of the iCEnhancer mod for GTA IV. And today the modder released a new set of screenshots from it. iCEnhancer C will feature two presets, and Keilany showcased today the main preset (that is said to be more realistic than the second one). Current gen! Next gen (PS5/Xbox 2 whatever) is around 2020 or something.
ENB and icenchancers are good mostly for screenshots. In real gameplay only cloudy weather looks good.
In regards to gta5 on next gen (current gen right now), that game looks like if it was already using mods. There are better textures, better character models, better lighting, new vegetation, better draw distances, better reflections (on cars, water, and various surfaces), better effects, better car traffic, new wildlife, not to mention vital changes in the gameplay. IMO this is how all ports should look like.
And PC version will look even more detailed 🙂 (probably even more traffic, draw distances, and things like that), not to mention we will see better picture (true AA and anistotropic filtering)

GTA 5 looks so good :O i didnt even realize that
Before playing gta5 I also didnt realize that :). When PC version will come out I will do screenshots after every few seconds, this is how good that game looks 🙂
Sorry, but there’s no way to make game of that size without LOD pop in, especially on consoles with JAGUAR low end CPU’s, hell probably even the best i7 would not cut it, because GTA5 use extremly detailed objects for SANDBOX game (and my pictures clearly shows that).
But you can blame rockstar for your unrealistic expectations, it’s your opinion. For me rockstar did superb job, and these LOD pop in issues arnt that big as you trying to make them look like, but it’s sandbox game, so if you will look for LOD pop in, you will always find that. Right now gta 4 on my PC (moded or unmoded) looks flat and square compared to gta 5 on ps4, and I cant wait to see PC version (not to metnion moded one in the future 🙂
Show me ps4/xboxone gta5 gameplay video, with pop in issues like that (preferably with exact m:s). We will see how bad it is.
GTA IV is like Skyrim. Great for modding and looking pretty but s**t to play IMO
