K-Putt – best known for his amazing SweetFX configurations – shared with us some images from GTA V (with SweetFX enabled). GTA V looks ridiculously beautiful with SweetFX when rendered at extreme resolutions. For bandwidth purposes, we’ve re-sized these images (as each image was 40MB in size). Be sure to visit K-Putt’s FlickR page for the uncompressed shots. Enjoy!

I prefer the look of the normal game w/o SweetFX. All SweetFX does is turn up the contrast to eye blinding levels. I don’t understand why people love it so much.
Most of these images were made with only Lumasharpen and SMAA enabled.
SweetFX has more options than just increasing the contrast. You must be looking at the crap sweetfx configs
I’m sorry if what I am about to say (type) comes out as aggressive but:
FFS there’s a lot of settings to be tweaked in the tool, if someone messes things up, it isn’t the fault of the tool itself. IT IS a great tool.
Comment translation: “I don’t know what I’m talking about.”
“All SweetFX does is turn up the contrast to eye blinding levels.”
No, it doesn’t. It does a whole lot more. It just requires actual configuration and adjustment. Much of the time, people just install it and use whatever is default, or they do some tweaks, and because of lack of experience, and lack of even a somewhat keen eye, they end up adjusting to whatever makes a stark, loud difference.
Also, the two commenters who replied to you, “jim2point0 and K-putt,” you should go check out their stuff. They do a lot of visual “modding” and screenshotting, and don’t fall trap to those oversaturated, overly contrasting colors and levels that most end up with when trying to use SweetFX etc.
I want that superman mod 🙂
need to try it out!
Thx DSOG as always!
I hope someone is able to mod vehicle FoV in first person mode. The immersion when driving around in first person is insane, but it’s hampered by the horrible low FoV.
I just use the ‘Hood’ cam instead now, it looks pretty good.
The guy who made the fov mod is going to update it soon with vehicle fov http://www.reddit.com/r/GrandTheftAutoV_PC/comments/32n8m0/i_made_a_mod_for_freely_setting_your_firstperson/
SweetFX and ENB is not needed.
Need in this case is subjective
Well… that’s like…. your opinion, man.
My opinion: SweetFX IS needed because the game allows you to use FXAA, but not SMAA. SweetFX allows you to inject SMAA, which is superior to FXAA in just about every way possible. I don’t believe K-Putt used any other shaders (except for maybe a little sharpening) in these shots. I think maybe having SweetFX in the title is actually misleading, as people will think he used it extensively.
That K-Putt guy is pretty good.
German efficiency. Very subtle but effective.
But I’m using the one by bits at the minute.

Saturation’s too high though, you have to halve it just so your eyes don’t bleed.
The game already looks great and i like the fact that Rockstar did not implemented all kinds of shtty gfx effects you see nowdays. The game looks vivid, clean, beautiful.
Looks pretty good but i’d imagine its easier to notice the improvements when its actually in motion in front of you. Give it a couple of months an modders will hopefully have this baby pushing top end graphics cards to the limit.

4x res downsampling, I wish I could play this game that way :). This game shines downsampled, because FXAA will look sharp and clean. Normaly I prefer to use MSAA, but in this game MSAA is just wrong. This is how grass blade thickness looks with MSAA. With MSAA grass is almost transparent

Any recommended settings for 2,5k (1440p) with a GTX 980? I mean without SweetFX
Grand Theft Auto V Looks Ridiculously Beautiful with SweetFX
In other news, This Veal and Porcini Tagliatele Tastes Absolutely Beautiful When I Smother it in Heinz Tomato Ketchup.
What i want to see is BETTER TEXTURES and BETTER LOD !!!
