Four new screenshots released for Shenmue 3

Deep Silver and YsNet have released four new screenshots for Shenmue 3. These screenshots are from the Monaco Anime Game International Conference (MAGIC) 2018 and showcase some characters from the game.

Shenmue 3 is powered by Unreal Engine 4, was officially announced on stage at Sony’s E3 2015 press conference and simultaneously launched on crowdfunding platform Kickstarter, breaking two Guinness World Records upon raising over $6 million dollars.

The game is currently in development at Yu Suzuki’s independent company, Ys Net, located in Tokyo along with many original Shenmue team members.

Ys Net plans to releases Shenmue 3 in 2018, though the game may get delayed to 2019.

    1. To be honest both Shenmue games were pretty damn bad if you ask me.

I really enjoyed playing them but it was very much in “so bad it’s good” kind of way.

Looking at these screenshots it’s shaping up to be marvelous again! 😀

      1. I won’t be in the least bit ‘offended’ or ‘outraged’ if non-Asian people aren’t represented in a game set in China and Japan.

  1. We are far from the technical masterpiece the first 2 shenmue were at their time.
Well i guess thats what you can do with 6 mil

  2. why is ryo about to hit a young lady in the back of the head with a stick… why is he about to punch a old geezer in the back of the head…. wtf.

    1. He’s frustrated with Sega because they dont want to remake/remaster his two previous games and decided to whack those innocent people…

    2. Obviously it’s because he was playing too many violent video games and it made him crazed for blood. (sarcasm)

Off Topic: President Trumps solution to stop the school shootings……….arm the teachers with guns. Banning assault rifles….no. Making parents responsible for keeping their firearms locked up where kids can’t have access to them…..no. Blaming violence in video games for school shootings…..yes. That’s our President.

      1. to be fair, every president and politician blames violent video games every time a nutjob shoots up a school. i remember when columbine happened every 2 minutes on the news someone was calling for doom to be banned.

  3. It looks good, reminds me of PS2-era CGI which I believe it’s the artistic direction the devs are aiming for. My concern is the lack of facial animations so far.
