  1. Wow looks great! I like that they toned down and got rid of that amber hue in the background. Can’t wait for this game, beta was fun to play.

  2. this game’s single player better be worth it because the multiplayer felt pretty generic.

    i.e.
    – only hold 2 weapons at a time
    – boring announcer
    – slow-paced gameplay

    1. I was let down when i first saw the teaser trailer tbh, i was expecting an awesome Doom game similar to the original ones (not 3) with some campaign online co-op. So much for that, looks more like a cross between UT and some other game.

Luckily Killing Floor 2 is slowly becoming great, as for this i probably won’t even bother.

      1. Well the leaked footage were totally different like a post apocalyptic earth resistance. Compared to that it is much better. The devs said somewhere you will be able to revist old areas. We will see how it goes but so far its not as good as wolfenstein or shadow warrior 2.

  3. Game looks good graphically, but I’m extremely pissed at how much they seemed to dumb down the game for consoles (slow paced, low enemy counts, etc.)

      1. Doom 4 looks like your average baby’s first FPS. I think they were aiming at appeasing Brutal Doom fans and the survival horror atmosphere of Doom 3, failing at both.

    1. It has the same low poly enemy models as rage. Atleast you dont have to aim down the sights like rage. Brutal doom creator said the shotgun has too high spread and it is too weak, the plasma gun is a joke.

        1. I cant find the post you are talking about but this is from 2013 and the post you probably referring too even older. Personally i prefer project brutality.

        2. Not this bulls**t again.

I was there for that. There was a guy with a very low post count, writing an extremely long winded, narcissistic, self pitying, disgusting post about how he is frustrated because he can’t get laid, hates his mother and fantasizes about murdering her and wants to kill himself.

Mark linked him to a Wikipedia article of a humane and fail safe way to off yourself. In my opinion he did nothing wrong. It was either a troll or a sicko who should kill himself before harming somebody else.

All the overblown reaction and fake outrage over that post came from people who hated Mark long before and for various other reasons.

  4. How hard is it to use some god*amn tessellation!? And the forth image really show the “plastic” feel that IDTech still carries, UE4 too in some cases. Lower the specular, increase texture resolution and adjust heightmap as necessary.

    1. Well they did ripoff brutal doom and gave the fans what they wanted might as well do it right. You know how you fix that? Modding.

  5. The cacodemon looks a bit lame again, like it did in Doom 3.. Tbh only the Revenant looks like it should, the others look pretty different.

  6. Like I said… A console game that will be nothing more then a console port on PC. A game series that was created on PC is now a consoles B#(CH… It’s a disgrace.
