Square Enix has released a new set of screenshots for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. It’s pretty obvious that EIDOS Montreal has used a sharpening filter in these new images, so let’s hope that this option will be available in the game (similarly to The Witcher 3’s sharpening filter). Otherwise, yeap, you can – somehow – consider the following shots false advertisement (unless of course you use Reshade to sharpen the game’s visuals). Deus Ex: Mankind Divided releases on August 23rd. Enjoy!

This is the only video game that can stand up to Uncharted 4 for 2016 GOTY.
No one here cares about Uncharted 4 PS4 exclusive generic gameplay here, even Crysis had more options and openness than that thing and that was in 2007.
Uncharted is not about the innovative gameplay, it is about the adventure, the characters, the stories, the experience. You could be as hardcore pc fan, as you want, but the Uncharted is a beautifully crafted video game series.
I’m sad that I can’t play the episodes on PC, can’t image how cool would them be with 4K visuals…
>Uncharted is not about the gameplay
Fixed.
Yep, it’s like new CoD games, if you want to watch a movie with some interactivity, no problem. But it won’t suffice if you’d like to take more control.
The Order 1886 is not about the gameplay either. :p
Yes, it;s a textbook example of such kind of games.
lol
Consoles are not about gameplay tbh.
Well said.
Even Crysis? Crysis had more freedom than the average game ever will have.
Apparently console gamers like being in a jeep, listening to people talking than actual proper not scripted gameplay.
Crysis has alot more freedom than Uncharted 4, thats why it is great, no scripted gameplay and set pieces at all.
Half or more of Uncharted success is because of the marketing.
Yep, Uncharted 4 has no AI walking about the island, it’s designed to be heavy on graphics with minimal AI with scripted parts of AI.
Blood and Wine
Uncharted 4 is about 30% gameplay and 90% of those 30% are handholding, heavily scripted stuff. Gameplay has not evolved past what Uncharted 2 established as the franchise’s formula and it still takes no skill to play whatsoever. Uncharted 4 is a game for people who don’t like games.
Uncharted wouldn’t be goty if i’d be the only game released in 2016 – it’ll still come in 8th place. Jesus, goty means the most outstanding achievement in gameplay/ design for that year in gaming. Uncharted 4 is a movie game where you barelly need to be present in the same room, because of how it almost plays itself. Simplistic, scripted, hand holding trash
Uncharted is nothing special to me especially the gameplay boring
the fact the u can play perfect stealth makes it awesome
I hope people’s faces won’t look as artificial as in the original game. It was a thing that stood out negatively in terms of graphics.
It’s a shame Japanese devs make Caucasian people look like caricatures.
Nonetheless, I have a hunch that Western devs make similarly unrealistic faces of Asians, but maybe I can’t notice it as I belong to the same race.
By the way, I can’t understand why faces of people in games have to be so horribly biased.
The devs aren’t Japanese. Square is only the publisher.
This is a mind boggler then. American people in HR looked like typical Japanese depictions of them… Also, while not overly, Jensen looks like he got spiced up a bit by some Japanese designer.
Maybe that wasn’t on purpose and they just suck at character models? I think I must lean towards this option.
By the way, I can’t wait for Mankind Divided. They just got to fix some nuisances from the original game and it’ll be great.
Yeah, never been a fan of such games so for me it’s a downside.
And it’s weird because supposedly the game wasn’t made by Japanese. So how the hell did they intercept such style?
Maybe “caricaturing” wasn’t a good choice of a word there. “Ambiguously white”, as you said, is more apt. It may be done by design or lack of reference models, but in the case of Deus Ex none of this should be true.
I don’t believe these screenshots. I’ll believe it when i’ll play it.
Looking good. This is defiantly on my radar.
No point showing screenshots cause 90% of the games gets downgraded
CAN WE TRUST EIDOS MONTREAL WITH THEIR TRAILERS/GAMEPLAY OR WILL THEY BE DOWNGRADED LIKE UBISOFT GAMES? WHATS THEIR HISTORY?
Eidos is pc developer they develop first for pc and then downgrades for console. So far all games that eidos has released from 90’s till now all of them on ultra settinfgs on pc are exactly as they are shown on the trailer unless your pc dont meet the requirements
Thank you! Its a day 1 buy for me, wait its a pre-order. JUST WISH I DIDNT HAVE TO SHOUT asking a simple question.
Original HR PC version was done in-house. The HR Director’s Cut PC version was subbed out.
in before downgrade
Will probably win Game of the year. Damn this game looks and plays fantastic.
Image 1 and 2 are at quality way above the others, suggestions?
PC graphics? Not real time?
OBS: Those 2 Photos looks somewhat similar to Quantum Break.
Still have yet to see proper actual PC footage and until then I won’t be buying into any of the media hype. I want to see PC footage, graphical settings, Vulkan talk etc, some actual commitment to the PC product that ensures me to wanting to buy said product.
Don’t worry about that, Human Revolution had an FOV slider on the PC version.
I don’t think Nixxes, if they’re still the one making the port, will forget about this important options for the sequel.
These screens may have been glossed over, but they certainly do show a much better looking game if compared to previous screenshots and videos. I’m glad they seem to have dropped the sharpness filter.
