Modder ‘XtremeV’ has released a new cool tool for Grand Theft Auto 5 Enhanced that enables large pedestrian crowds. Thanks to this mod, the city in GTA 5 will now feel more alive, dense, and in line with what you’d see in a modern-day open-world game.
Going into more details, this mod provides full customization of five features of GTA5’s Engine. These are the Main Heap Size, Resource Heap Size, Pool Heap Size, Ped Memory Budget, and Vehicle Memory Budget. XtremeTool allows you to assign more than 4 GB to each Heap.
The mod was developed and tested for the latest GTA5 Enhanced version on Steam. So, if you want to make the game feel more alive, you can go ahead and download it from this link.
To run it, the modder suggests having at least 8-16GB of RAM and 4GB of VRAM installed. If you run into performance issues, you should try lowering the ped amounts in the supplied popcycle.dat.
In summary, this is a small but cool mod for GTA 5 Enhanced. By using it, you can increase the crowd to get a city that feels as dense as those we saw in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 or the latest Watch_Dogs game. At the end of the article, you can find some screenshots that showcase the mod in action. I don’t believe you will be able to match the crowd of Assassin’s Creed: Unity, though. Man, that game was so ahead of its time when it came to its crowd size.
Speaking of Grand Theft Auto 5 Enhanced Edition, I suggest taking a look at these other free mods for it. NaturalVision Enhanced is perhaps the best graphical mod for it. But, if you don’t like it, you can try RealityV Mod and ChromatiX Enhanced, which are the best alternatives to it.
In July 2025, we shared a mod that makes fights with NPCs more fun and diverse. It can make your gameplay feel more exciting, so you should try it out. After all, you might enjoy these new changes and improvements.
Then we have the Drive V Mod. Drive V overhauls the physics of all vehicles, bringing a more realistic driving system. Thanks to it, every car or vehicle feels different to drive. Each one has its own physics, so they don’t all handle the same. So, if you want a more realistic driving system, you should give it a go.
Next is this one, which improves the quality of all the main characters. Moreover, you can use this addon pack with it, which adds 40 new cars to the game.
Finally, for our RTX-50 series readers, we have this mod that allows you to enable DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Gen. Sadly, though, it is behind a Patreon wall. From what I know, NVIDIA and Rockstar do not have any plans to add DLSS 4 MFG to the game as of yet. So, that’s kind of a bummer.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
