11 bit studios has released the December 8th Title Update for The Alters, which adds new free content to the game. This is something that all owners of the game will appreciate. So, let’s take a closer look at it.
The December 8th Patch introduces the Gamer’s Den. This new base module, designed by the Scientist, brings a little fun to your daily routine. Players will step inside the Gamer’s Den to play the new Card Game and lift the spirits of their Jans.
Moreover, this latest update adds a new side story. Players will solve the mystery with a new Noir-themed storyline in the Gamer’s Den, and take the role of Jan Detective.
Then we have a new Photo Mode. With it, players will be able to capture the perfect shot with new photo tools. They can play with lighting, angles, and composition to recreate their favorite scenes.
And that’s not all. The December 8th Patch for The Alters adds a new Save System. You can now save automatically upon exiting the game and during crucial story moments. We also get a new Relax Mode. This mode is for those who prefer to enjoy the story and exploration without worrying too much about survival mechanics or inventory management.
Finally, we get some new customization options. Players will now be able to redesign their base from top to bottom. They will be able to animate and personalize every module with new styles and set designs to make their base feel truly theirs. Plus, you will find some new Spacesuits. These new suit options will let you explore the planet in style.
Like always, Steam will download the December 8th Patch for The Alters once you launch its client. Below, you can also find its complete changelog.
