ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN feature

ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN Patch 1.01 Is Available for Download

ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN will come out in a few hours and FromSoftware has already released its first patch. So, let’s see what this first update brings to the table.

Patch 1.01 is the day-1 update that aims to improve gameplay and stability. According to its changelog, it improves the handling of playable characters. It also brings soundtrack addition and adjustments, as well as text and balance adjustments. Moreover, it adds character scenarios.

However, they didn’t explain what bugs were actually fixed. That means players aren’t really sure what problems were solved in this update. It could be small changes or something more important, but we just don’t know yet because no full patch notes were shared.

If you haven’t heard of it yet, NIGHTREIGN is a brand-new game set in the same world as ELDEN RING, but it’s a standalone title. That means you don’t need to play ELDEN RING first to enjoy NIGHTREIGN. This new game has a different style and focus. In NIGHTREIGN, players will team up in groups of three to fight against the dark forces of a spreading night. The game is built around 3-player co-op, so it’s meant to be played with friends or other online players.

Each player gets to choose a unique champion, and every champion has their own special skills and powers. Working together is really important, because the enemies in this game are powerful and aggressive. You’ll need teamwork and smart strategies to survive. NIGHTREIGN sounds like it will be full of action and intense moments as you and your team face off against scary creatures and other threats.

To be honest, though, I’m not a huge fan of this type of game. While some people may love the challenge and co-op gameplay, it’s just not for everyone. Personally, the idea of NIGHTREIGN reminds me a lot of Metal Gear Survive, which was another game that tried something different from the series it came from. And, as we all know, many fans didn’t like that game because it didn’t feel like the classic Metal Gear experience they loved.

So, it will be really interesting to see how fans of ELDEN RING react to NIGHTREIGN. Some people might enjoy the new co-op experience. Others, though, might miss the single-player, deep storytelling, and massive open-world feel that ELDEN RING offered.

As for me, this is an easy pass. I like games with more story and less focus on multiplayer survival. But then again, that’s me. Other people may enjoy it.

Anyway, Steam will download and apply this patch automatically. Below, you can also find its complete changelog.

  1. I think they are riding on brand recognition but I think this should have been secured to gamepass or f2p model. Im also a big fan of the Fromsoft games and have beaten all of them except Bloodborne and Demon Souls Remake but from what I've seen this just won't bring the adventure and story parts of the games that I also appreciate. maybe if by the end of the year itll get a significant price drop and i can convince some friends to barrel through some runs.

    1. Yep, it's a questionnable choice and entry, probably a publisher's demand, doesn't fit FS at all

      1. Between this and Duskbloods, it feels really unfortunate that FromSoft has caved in to the whole BR/multiplayer focused genre. I'd rather them use all those enemy designs/new assets for an actual big new singleplayer game.

  2. For what I've read, the stutter mess is the same as Elden Ring, with the same solution, play it through Proton.

  3. 40$ for game, that is a poor's man roguelite, mixed with bare bones "survival" and boss rush, and on top of that, looks bad, and runs terribly.
The also forces you to play online with other players, because the offline solo mode is brutally not balanced.
