It also improves visibility of the controller cursor in menus and when using computers or keypads. Furthermore, it fixes an issue where some elements on the perk screen wouldn’t change after switching to Colorblind Mode, as well as instances where groups of immortal enemies could appear across Night City.

Is that why Cyberpunk 2077 crashes when I try to load my saved game?
i don’t know
This is why I have zero RGB on my system ….. The software is just garbage and causes a lot of hitching and crashes in games because it steals CPU cycles for basically nothing meaningful
It adds zero performance and wastes electricity …. And I wouldn’t be able to see it anyway since I only use solid side cases for RFI reasons (The RFI hash interferes with my USB based test equipment)
Razer’s Chroma lighting is external (USB peripherals). I leave it on for 2 reasons:
1. It’s necessary to read the keyboard.
2. It can actually be useful. I color-code my keyboard keys to group them by color so different sections of the keyboard can be easily recognized at a glance.
As for the rest of the RGB cancer in my system, I turn it off with OpenRGB so I don’t have to install anyone else’s problematic software. I use a Razer keyboard and mouse so I need to have Synapse 3 installed, but beyond that I don’t want anyone else’s crapware if I can avoid it.
Note: Razer Synapse 3 has (or at least used to have) an option to disable Chroma integration so that games couldn’t change Razer peripheral lighting. I think it could be disabled on a per-game basis and system wide. I don’t know if that would have prevented Chroma related crashes, but that’s a QA issue on the part of the game developers, and should have been fixed before their update was pushed out.
lmao who’s playing on the steam deck with RT on? which RT effects are playable on steam deck at a reasonable resolution and framerate?
Certainly not me, as I neither have a Deck nor do I have a copy of this game lul
oop
i don’t have a steam deck
damn
See, ain’t the Steam Deck a fascinating device full of surprises? 😛
DOOM Eternal is another title where one can get playable framerates with RT reflections on at native resolution:

Expect RT performance to further increase quite a bit with future SteamOS updates, to the point where it will consistently surpass AMD’s official Windows driver.
That’s just the magic of continued software optimizations at play here, a theme that Valve has thankfully adopted from the Linux community.
Greatness awaits…
nice! 35 fps is enough for you in an FPS? do you play it connected to a monitor or use a mouse too? Love mine but i’ve had the warmest time playing FPS on it. After playing other modern titles like Infinite Wealth, Cyberpunk and BG3, I’d imagine more people would go without RT to get performance in other areas.
I don’t have one either but if you’re ok w 720p or less at 30fps or less on low settings, sure RT can’t do much harm there lol
i do have one now reflexively i can see i was a bit inflamatory with my post. I am thinking about it and I did use rt reflections for a bit when playing lost judgement on the steam deck but turned it off for a higher fps average.
yeah rt is a hit no matter what you have for me it’s about 20fps hit on average with a 2060 mobile, not worth it but if FG ever got much better afa ghosting and jetfans for me would prob be worth it.
House of pizza 🍕
May you have the best pizza today and everyday after. May the power of the pizza be with you always. 🍕
So they did not fix the reflections yet?
Use this mode until then:
https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/11815/
So the sonic shock thing got some minor attention, etc just small fixes for this game going forward, thankfully. So mods once the frameworks get updated can then fix what cpdurtards won’t or can’t, plenty there, design choices etc Too bad this game didn’t have a mostly non-nexisnotsee site like gta-5 mods etc those scum nexisnotsees and their jewced up monopoly site should be burned and eradicated like the virus those types are to the health of decent humanity. Cyberpunk2077moddotcm has most of the banned mods and based mods has specifically banned mods FYI.
