Cronos The New Dawn feature-1

Cronos: The New Dawn September 10th Patch Released & Detailed

Bloober Team has released the September 10th Hotfix Update for Cronos: The New Dawn and shared its full list of changes. So, let’s see what this new update brings to the table.

According to the team, this first hotfix solves a number of critical issues and several minor problems. It also introduces a series of QoL improvements.

This update fixes some crucial issues. For instance, it fixes a bug that caused Lumen GI graphic glitches when switching from Very Low to higher settings. It also fixes a bug where enemies could get stuck if they didn’t have a clear path to the player. Plus, it resolves a save issue where the Pathfinder could disappear during a boss fight and not come back after loading a save.

This Hotfix makes the game more stable and fixes several bugs. It fixed a crash that could happen during an optional dialogue with the Warden. It also fixed a save issue that could block progress when opening the church doors after solving the puzzle. Moreover, it fixed a bug where enemies could get stuck if they didn’t have a clear path to the player. On top of that, it fixed a bug where weapons bought at the workstation didn’t count for the “The Boon of the Relics” achievement.

Owners of an HDR monitor will also now get a better gaming experience. This Hotfix an issue where visible banding could be seen in the pause menu on HDR screens. The HDR calibration screen should also now look similar in both the Main and Pause Menus.

As said, this update brings some QoL improvements. For example, it adds an additional autosave before the brothers’ cutscene in the factory. It also adds an informational screen at the start of New Game+ to let players know their equipment is available in the stash.

From what I can see, there aren’t any performance improvements. So, don’t expect the game to run better on your PC. I have not seen any improvements to the traversal stutters, either. So, that’s kind of a bummer.

Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below, you can also find its complete changelog.

  1. This game is a mess tbh, looks worse then 10 year old games and takes way more resources, typical ue5 gahbage. What I mean is with an older system to get it decent you have to turn it way down to where it looks awful, whereas I'm replaying Dishonored 2 and it looks incredible. UE5 scales terribly, they're just selling hardware.

The sound does NOT autoswitch between headphones and regular speakers, you have to plug in headphones then unplug them to get it to switch , ridiculous. Enemies get stuck in the environment and impedes game progress, similar to the Robocop first games bug which was never fully fixed, UE5 slop again. You have to fight this game when it comes to borderless and full screen a lot too.

After an enemy getting stuck behind a door in the basement where you get the shelter key, over and over I gave up on this derivative slop by those blooberboobs. At least it was free.

Helisus is similar bug ridden game but has way too many puzzles and tries to be both an action souls game and a game with heavy research and finding things etc, terrible games so far besides Silksong. I have hope Tekland will nail it with The Beast, have little hope for Silent Hill F looks way too japan to be good.
