Ziggurat Interactive has purchased the BloodRayne IP, working on PC enhancements, hints at new games

Ziggurat Interactive announced today they have purchased the rights to multiple game licenses previously owned by Majesco Entertainment, including fan-favourite BloodRayne. Alongside BloodRayne, Ziggurat now owns the rights of Advent Rising, Raze’s Hell, and Flip’s Twisted World.

Ziggurat Interactive is already working with original BloodRayne developer, Terminal Reality, to update the PC versions of the BloodRayne games to improve compatibility and provide various enhancements. Ziggurat is also developing plans to further explore and expand BloodRayne’s already rich universe.

Ziggurat Interactive’s President, Wade Rosen, said:

“BloodRayne is a beloved franchise with a huge fan base and we’re extremely appreciative of the opportunity to be stewards for this fantastic series. Players the world over fondly remember titles like BloodRayne and Advent Rising and having the opportunity to not only bring these games to a new audience but to expand their universes is something we take seriously.”

Mark Randel, President at Terminal Reality, added:

“We are really excited to have this opportunity to revisit one of our favorite game series and make it available to a new audience.”

    1. That would be great but the licenses for the engine, the game code and the music are owned by different companies and they are unlikely to cooperate to re-release the games.

GOG has been trying to get the games for years but no success.

      1. I’m sure if there’s a similar game like that this gen and become huge success, those stubborn company wont think twice to re-release the game…

  1. BloodRayne? In this era of SJW stupidity? LOL Best of luck with that.

You’ll absolutely kill whatever fanbase you have, after you redesign her to fit the SJW/PC garbage requirements of games these days.

    1. Right? I loved those games for the stupid, ridiculous fun they were. I can’t imagine them being released in this era of Left wing Puritanism.

  2. Loved BloodRayne 2, Beat it over 15x on the original Xbox. I hope they can do something great with this franchise. Fingers Crossed!!! Please stay away from Unreal Engine so you are not tempted…. Timmy is like a thief in the night just waiting.

    1. For me, i didn’t really like Bloodrayne 2. The face model, the gameplay, the settings is somewhat off. I prefer Bloodrayne 1 settings in WW2. The atmosphere is great. However both BR1 and BR2 animation is really stiff and too fast.

  3. Please please make it a faithful remake/remastered version ! We don’t need more SJWs to ruin such an awesome franchise !
