Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is free on Epic Games Store for the next 24 hours

Team17 and Playtonic are currently giving away for free Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair on the Epic Games Store. For the next 24 hours, PC gamers can visit its EGS page and acquire their free copy.

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is a brand-new platform adventure from some of the key creative talent behind ‘Donkey Kong Country’. With their arch-nemesis Capital B up to no good, the buddy duo needs to spring into action once again to save the day.

According to the game’s description, each level offers beautiful, rich visuals with detail and depth. Yooka, Laylee and a whole host of colourful characters (good and bad) are realised in stunning 2.5D.

Players will be able to explore and unlock more 2D levels by completing objectives and puzzles, rescue the Royal Beettalion bees and find collectibles. Players are also free to tackle Capital B’s Impossible Lair at any time; however, they may find it too much of a challenge without the help of the Royal Beetallion.

You can acquire your free copy from here.

Have fun!

      1. They s*cked a tremendous amount of d*ck for sure…all this to piss off every other storefront AND getting sheeps to use their spyware!

After this, they will count every copy for a sale and they’ll yell at everyone that these games sales has perform better than on every other stores!!

  1. Wow, genuinely had this one on my wishlist. I actually have way too many games I want to play right now… and then we hit the game apolocalyse of March 2020… Don’t think I’ve ever had a year that looks to be so packed with gaming.

  2. Next game looks like Darksiders 2.
Vanilla and complete version both are trashy PC ports with problems that were never fixed.

  3. I don’t know how much dirty money they are throwing to all of these game developers, but they s*cked a tremendous amount of d*ck for sure !!! LMAO !!!

    1. Serioulsy, you’re self-censoring the word suck?
It’s not even offensive, it’s an actual verb. Not that I ever approve of censorring anything. If you’re going to say, putting a little * doesn’t change the word you said.

  4. Game looks pretty nice, this would be a good one for my nephew, age-wise.

I see a lot of animosity towards EGS whenever it’s mentioned on this site.

So I went and looked at it. No community forums from what I could see. Pretty much a deal killer. (If Im just not seeing it let me know).

(I have installed the launcher some time ago but never really used it except download a free game which I never played).

It seems pretty sparse too, not a lot of games. To be fair I guess it’s got to be really difficult to just upstart some competition against Steam and GOG after all this time has gone by with them leading the way. Then again, I’d think even starting out with all the money they have – they’d launch something more useful out of the gate.

I dunno. I been using Steam (which still has irritating issues too) for so long I guess EGS looks oddly vacant and unhelpful.

Steam has it for $23 but no demo/free period. Im guessing if Steam did more free demo periods EGS wouldnt last very long?

**BTW None of my DISQUS comments for this site the past week show up when I open the comment side panel. Wonder if I got shadowbanned or something’s went wrong the CMS Disqus extension for this site…..
