We Happy Few is now available on Steam Early Access & GOG

Compulsion Games announced today that We Happy Few  Steam Early Access and GOG.com Games in Development. In order to celebrate this announcement, the team has also released a new trailer that can be viewed below.

We Happy Few is the tale of a plucky bunch of moderately terrible people trying to escape from a lifetime of cheerful denial in the city of Wellington Wells.

“Set in a drug-fuelled, retrofuturistic city in an alternative 1960s England, you’ll have to blend in with its other inhabitants, who don’t take kindly to people who don’t abide by their not-so-normal rules.”

We Happy Few is about surviving in and escaping from a procedurally generated world, where you must learn to hide in plain sight.

In the game’s Early Access version, players can fight, conform, hide, and escape the islands (although to start, we will only have access to 3/5 islands).

As the team noted:

“There is a lot of content still to be created, including more islands, encounters, NPC behaviours, gameplay features, and a proper final challenge/ending, and a large amount of work to do on balance and polish.”

Enjoy!

  1. yeah no thanks the last time I bought h1z1 and it stayed early access forever, its a cash grab

    1. What do you mean by stayed early access forever? It’s obvious they haven’t finished development of it, they are still updating it. You make it sound like it’s stuck in early access and never being released.

          1. Both games were created by SOE and now taken over by Daybreak Game Company. They released Landmark as an unfinished product just for a cash grab, No doubt they will do the same with H1Z1

      1. And it will be stuck forever, lol updates did you see the updates all garbage they dont even improve performance lol it gotten worse I got a beast pc and I get drops too 30fps, yeah check reviews negatives negatives and I change mine to negative its a cash grab

          1. sure, check everyday in steam thats your crystal ball, and its gonna stay early access

    2. i waited for starbound, and…well lets just say it feels like a game that is under development for a year or two, that game has been in development over 3 years.

I wish i could refund it.

  2. I really am looking forward to this game. They won’t be including a Linux version with the early access though so I’ll be holding off on a purchase until they finish that up.

      1. The developer lists on their site that they plan a Linux version but that it probably won’t come out until after the completion of the Windows version. If they do end up making a Linux version I think it would work with SteamOS.
