At TennoCon 2017, Digital Extremes revealed Warframe’s groundbreaking new update, Plains of Eidolon, and the introduction of Landscapes and the Ostron Civilization. Plains of Eidolon will allow players to explore, discover, fight, and fly through Warframe in a way they never have before.
In the Plains of Eidolon players will set foot in a Landscape larger than anything they’ve seen in Warframe – and they will be free to explore it on their own terms. Players will be able to summon their Archwing at will for air travel and battle, and experience the great outdoors as they hunt resources in the rivers and streams. Moreover, Plains of Eidolon will feature a dynamic day/night cycle.

This is amazing. And how did i not know anything about this yet ? I know i havent played in a few months but they must have kept this on the down lo big time until now. it is stunning in every way.
I just got done seeing it too. Looks interesting but I need to see more about the open world nature. Will it have a lot of random moments happening all the time? Will it be filled with NPCs going about with their duties and not just shop keepers and random idle figures standing about?
I haven’t actually played it since it was in beta which was a very long time ago. A lot has changed from what I’ve seen: a story mode and now an open world element. It’s always nice to see some Free to Play games expand in such a way. Similarly with other games like War Thunder and Path of Exile. But I think the only games that have gotten the F2P model done right is this and PoE. There could be more games but they’re the only ones I know of that try to avoid being a pay-to-win service.
How can you be impressed by this?

I dont get why the people in the live demonstration video are so excited, so you can craft weapons? Big deal its the same weapon with diffirent skin parts. So it has open world now? Like every other game. Then again if you are a warframe fan and you have been doing the same thing over and over again for years anything new is a godsend.
And if you’re not a Warframe fan you can’t enjoy this? It is a free game with more content than any AAA game out there. Hell, it has more mission types than many games have missions.
You get to customize your character in unique ways and, if you play with friends, you’ll fly by the content like a champ.
It has some of the strongest lore out there and, contrary to Destiny, you don’t have it in exposition online. You have it on the game itself. And it is extremely good.
And they even added now a open map? Man, this is going to be good.
I cannot imagine how can someone criticize this game.
I dont know if it changed but the only time i tried was back when it came out to OG PS4.
It was pay to win corridor shooter, i couldn’t even finish the first mission by myself, you needed friends that were into this kind of game or buy upgrades.
Destiny was fine for SP on earth but on second world I couldn’t play by myself, so I abandoned it.
I never thought this was pay 2 win, but I did ask for help in the beginning in the chat. In fact, to me, in early times it was much easier to get all frames. But when I started I thought it was a stealth game…. until I saw others play.
But the game changed….. A LOT. It is a completely different game now. Just the quests are a large time to go through. And it is good. I just helped 3 guys get keys to get Prime parts.
Seems promising. Hopefully the scope of the open world environment won’t be held back by the chronic limitations of the consoles’ weedy AMD Jaguar CPU given that this is a multi-platform game.

Warframe was always fun. You just need to do it with friendly players. Do that, and this is one of the best games out there.
It is enormous, expansive and has some of the best gaming mechanics in any game out there. Really good.
But, if you’re going at it alone…… you’ll need a few months just to unlock the map. Took me 2 days with friends.
If someone needs a Prime set in the game, let me know. I may give one away just for this.

i’d rather be playing the new call of duty which i’m super excited about, i miss my dose of professional tactical shooter
Have you seen any of the videos of COD:WW2? There’s nothing tactical about that shooting in that game. It has the same checkpoint shooing as the other COD games. Plus your replaying the same missions (D Day, battle of the bulge etc) as COD 1 and 2.
Get ARMA 3 if you want a “professional tactical shooter” not COD:WW2
the only reason most people hate cod is because how advanced and tactical you have to be in order to be good, arma is just wait and see what happens boring trash game, cod needs brain, arma needs teenagers with lot of extra time in their hand

This game just keeps getting better and better. I may have to pick this up by year’s end.
this is why warframe is the best f2p game, well besides maybe MXM(master x master)which is new and a awesome moba, with pve, and tons of other modes.
It’s no longer stretched and mangled Poo-on-rails? Seriously, this game ‘updates’ to what every other MMO launches with (a world) and still looks like a bunch of rigged twisted grogans.
