I guessing this is the absolute final version.
Probably not. They’ve been adding to this patch consistently since the game launched almost 14 years ago. They’ve always labelled their patch numbers X.0, X.1…X.9 then gone up to the next number.
One of these days, I will break down and buy this game maybe after I finish Lust for Darkness.
It’s on sale on GOG for $5 right now.
When I first saw the game back at E3 so long ago, the demo showed that Nosferatu could solve the Restaurant Critic quest by using animalism in the back to send a horde of rats into the kitchen. It’s not in the game and has yet to be added back in in the fan patches. I’d love to see that back though, and any other similar alternate solutions if there are any.
No doubt about it. Wesp has poured countless hours of work into this game and it probably would still be a mess to this day if not for him. I vaguely recall some other modder trying to do what Wesp was doing on this game but I think he failed.
This is pretty much the way it is in our hobby. Publishers/Developers make games for money and modders come along behind them and clean up the mess and add value to the game because of the love for the game.
Yeah, game was already fixed but why not fix it even more, I guess.
Now for another game that’s like this one.
What about HD texture pack? Improved models?
