Lyrical Games has announced Valor Mortis, a first-person action Souls-like game from the creators of Ghostrunner. This new Souls-like game will come out on PC in 2026, and below you can find its debut trailer.

In Valor Mortis, you play as a soldier from Napoleon’s army who has risen from the dead. With your new supernatural powers, you’ll fight terrifying monsters and uncover a dark conspiracy that could destroy all of humanity.

The game’s combat lets you block attacks, dash around enemies, and finish them off with brutal moves. You’ll be able to power up your attacks and unlock new supernatural abilities to use in battle. Your speed and mobility will help you outsmart the plague-infected soldiers of Napoleon’s Eternal Guard, while exploring hidden secrets in the world that can boost your chances of survival.

The game will feature a powerful story that mixes real history with horror and supernatural elements. Players will journey through dark and dangerous places to uncover the truth about the deadly plague and the mystery of their own cursed return from the dead.

  2. Clicked on this thinking I'm going to close the video after a few seconds just like rest of the trailers, this one looks alright, it reminds me of dishonroed a little bit.

  3. First person and Napoleonic theming seems interesting. Hopefully there is a demo at some point in time soon.

  5. If it didn't have the monster and magic thing, I'd have been quite curious on a sort of realistic napoleonic souls-like. Not that i like that subgenre specifically, but…
