Valor Mortis feature-2

Valor Mortis and Outward 2 Have Been Delayed

Lyrical Games and Nine Dots Studio have announced that Valor Mortis and Outward 2 have been delayed. Valor Mortis has been delayed until October 13, whereas Outward 2 has been delayed until 2027.

Valor Mortis is a first-person action Souls-like game. Players will assume the role of a soldier from Napoleon’s army who has come back from the dead. This unknown soldier now has supernatural powers, and he can use them to fight scary monsters and uncover a dark plan that could put all of humanity in danger.

The game’s combat lets you block attacks, dodge quickly, and finish enemies with strong finishing moves. You can also power up your attacks and unlock new supernatural skills to use in battle. Fast movement will help you outsmart the plague-infected soldiers of Napoleon’s Eternal Guard. You will also explore the world to find hidden secrets that can help you survive longer.

Lyrical Games has already released a PC demo that you can try. I gave it a go, and the game does not appear to suffer from any stutters. However, it definitely needs more polish, as even the in-game settings are not that detailed. Plus, there is only support for AMD FSR and not for NVIDIA DLSS or Intel XeSS.

The devs claim that this delay will give them enough time to polish it. Realistically, I don’t expect any miracles when it comes to performance. At this stage, the devs will most likely address the bugs that its fans have reported after trying the demo.

On the other hand, Outward 2 is a challenging action RPG with survival elements, focusing on a grounded experience. The game promises to offer a believable, relatable, and deeply human journey, complete with all the hardships that come with it.

Nine Dots Studio had to delay the game, even though it will first come out on Early Access, as it is currently in a pretty rough state. This is why there is no ETA for when it will hit Steam Early Access. All we know is that it will come out sometime in 2027.

Stay tuned for more!
