Unreal Engine 4-powered Super Mario Bros FPS tech demo is almost complete, new gameplay footage

Super Mario Bros fans, here is something really special for you today. Sean Noonan has been working on a first-person tech demo of Super Mario Bros in Unreal Engine 4. This project is almost complete and Noonan plans to release it to the public soon.

In order to celebrate this, Noonan released a brand new gameplay trailer that you can find below. Moreover, GmanLives has shared a video showing 7 minutes of gameplay footage from it.

This Super Mario Bros FPS demo features the first level from the game. Players can explore it, collect coins, and use weapons in a first-person mode to kill enemies. The attention to detail is extraordinary and this could have easily passed as an official Nintendo game.

Unfortunately, there isn’t any exact release date of when this tech demo will go live. Still, Noonan claims that he will release it soon. Right now, there are currently a couple of little quality of life features that he needs to finish off.

Naturally, we’ll be sure to inform you when this tech demo goes live. Until that happens, enjoy the following videos!
