Blue Entropy Studios has announced that its upcoming Unreal Engine 4-powered adventure, Reaching For Petals, will release via Steam on September 4th. In order to celebrate this announcement, Blue Entropy released a new trailer that can be viewed below.
Reaching For Petals is described as a poetic, story-driven adventure game, set in a beautiful but desolate world. It tells a story of love, loss, and ambition, in which you’ll travel to the peak of the ever-reaching mountain to uncover the true nature of your mysterious and seemingly unguided journey. Players will revisit past memories, each telling the tale of a chapter of their life, slowly revealing the meaning of their travels.
Reaching for Petals promises to combine dynamic music, breathtaking visuals, and interactive choices to tell an engaging and heartfelt story.
Christian Ledbetter, founder of Blue Entropy Studios, said:
“We’re delighted to finally show the world what we’ve been working on, and we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve created.
We wanted to make a genuinely beautiful story-driven adventure, and I really believe we’ve achieved that – from the extraordinary Unreal 4-powered graphics, to Gustavo Coutinho’s incredible soundtrack which dynamically shifts as you play, to Austyn Roney’s writing and the incredible acting performance from Dave Pettitt.”

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. YES. This has me hyped. I loved Firewatch and this seems right up the same alley. I just need to find some d#mn time to actually play a game.
I liked Firewatch, but I’m not really feeling it with this and I’m not overly fond of the same exact type of game that features walking around and picking things up all the time. I’d love for the walking sim to really spice things up and craft something truly unique that no other walking sim does and in a big way.
That voice…..I’m in love
hell yeah another adventure game, my day cannot be complete without reading articles about 10 recently announced adventure games
I enjoyed Firewatch so this looks good to me.
