  1. “lets your disable Vignette,”

interesting. surprised that gamers forgot it was used heavily in the Re2 Remake as well. mainly, it was used deliberately to obscure the gamer’s vision and increase blind spots.

    1. agreed. Re2 remake had a 1 inch thick vignette, plus no disable option.
gaming with it for over a year, and gamers somehow forgot this. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/aebcb6c0deea356f9b09fdf1214b0b44dcf36b98d367cdc8317585caa0de0ad6.jpg

Gamer – “what is this ugly vignette and chromatic aberration. “disables it.”
“oh it’s what makes the game so scary.” “leaves it disabled. i’d rather see them coming a mile away then to be spooked, as the developers intended.”

      1. pretty much. the only horror game that I’ve ever disagreed with it’s post processes effects that comes to my mind was The EvilWithin.
which it used a crushblack + color filter + vignette. it worked great in accomplishing cheap scares and adrenaline rushes. but it was too pitch black in my opinion.

that being said, Resident evil’s solution is a far more pleasant choice.
the colors and lighting remains intact for the most part.

      2. “Lighting? Level design?”
“What are those? Let’s just add a stupid amount of post processing on the screen to make it spooky”
“F*king gamers wanting to play their videogames with some peripheral vision or in ultra widescreen, play the game as the time constrained and pressured developers intended!”

Do you tards even read what you type?

And why are you assuming people forgot vignette was in the previous game?

        1. Master Debating –
          “putting words into people’s mouths.”
“Do you tards even read what you type?”
“And why are you assuming people forgot vignette was in the previous game?”

the only things that was mentioned about the Re2 remake demo was a couple bugs and it’s usage of screen space reflections. the fact that it used a inch thick vignette was never listed on DSOG. https://www.dsogaming.com/news/two-million-players-have-downloaded-the-resident-evil-2-remake-demo-in-just-a-week/#disqus_thread

not even you mention it’s vignette in this thread. your only complaint was enemies at 30fps. https://www.dsogaming.com/news/resident-evil-2-remake-pc-demo-was-based-on-the-latest-build-final-version-suffers-from-same-issues/#disqus_thread

so that’s pretty much it. gamers are always finding new sh*t to b*tch about. which is fine whatever….

          1. There’s 48 threads on the official steam page complaining about it plus many more on other places
            https://steamcommunity.com/app/883710/discussions/search/?q=vignette&gidforum=1729827777341131330&include_deleted=1
Just because I didn’t comment about it DSOG RE2 mean I didn’t hate it, talked about it or didn’t completely remove it by editing an hex value

And I did mention it here

Please fuckoff with your faulty generalizations

    2. All this pot process garbage was modded out on day 1.

The vignette does not increase blind spots, even developers wouldn’t say such trite, it’s just a stupid artistic choice.

  2. Human eye already have very narrow focus spot with blurry edges. Our brain process image after that, and we think we see wide and clear, but still, where we would be without wise game designers that think that its good to put more stress on eyes with state of art vignette effect….

    1. So now pants and a tank top is a man outfit? What the fck is with this logic you weirdo? lmao. Oh boo hoo, poor little guy can’t jerk off to half-naked pixelated wamans. Grow up, pal. Yeah… nowadays having common sense means that you’re woke, racist, sexist. Both you anti-sjw and sjw are as stupid.

        1. You people disgust me. In real life I will probably smash your head to a wall if you insult me like you do keyboard warrior .

Lmao. Yeah, i can tell you don’t have much going on in your life. You complain about a woman not being half-naked. Your frustrations are showing. Don’t worry, i’m sure the modding community will make Jill look like a pronstar, so you can be finally happy.

          1. I don’t need a safe space. It’s still just a bunch of pixels, that i don’t really care about. I’d rather go with the new look, rather than the old. Not that it looks better, but it fits just as well.
I play the game for the story, gameplay. Not for how beautiful is the character. You still spend 80% of the time looking at her butt, so i don’t see the problem.
Dude, you complain about the fact that a fictional character is “ugly”, yet i’m the virgin. Again, nice logic.
