TOXIKK – PC Exclusive Classic Arena FPS – Coming In Q4 2014

Reakktor Studios today revealed their upcoming back-to-the-roots Arena-FPS TOXIKK. TOXIKK will not be a free-to-play title, will be coming this year on PC, will not be plagued by all the annoying features that can be found in modern-day shooters, and its debut gameplay trailer can be viewed below.

Inspired by the big shooters from the late 90s and early 2ks, the sci-fi/near-future themed game plays as if today’s military shooters never existed: There is no leveling, no regenerating health, no perks, no cover systems, no classes, no configurable weapons and no iron sight aiming.

Instead you get fast and precise movement (with deeply configurable mouse controls), double jumps, dodge jumps, booster pick-ups, nine iconic weapons to be carried around simultaneously, secondary fire modes for every weapon, vehicular game modes, jump pads, health-packs, lots of vertical gameplay, optional mutators (incl. instagib) and everything else that made these kind of games so addictive. The game also features a configurable BOT-MODE to let you train your skills offline.

TOXIKK is exclusively designed for PC and scheduled to launch via Early Access in Q4/2014.

Enjoy!

    1. I have to say I was turned off by the Halo look but the game-play does indeed look very similar to Unreal T, so ill probably give it a try at some point.

  1. The fact in this day and age that PC games have to be advertised with “None of the modern BS” just shows how bad things have gotten.

  2. Holy… cow. Im back on 90s. I was a BIG fan of quake 3. I still remember playing with friends all day long good times. Very good times. But that trailer was the shiit man. Awesome trailer. Giving the middle finger to the entire industry. They are Saying you are doing things wrong. Or not wrong… its more like stop milking this guys. Gonna try the game for sure.
