Ubisoft has announced that the closed alpha phase for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege will begin soon, and that it will be exclusive to the PC platform. Moreover, players can register for the Closed Alpha now at its official website. To celebrate the news, Ubisoft released a new trailer for Rainbow Six Siege that can be viewed below. Enjoy!

Ubisoft should have a closed Alpha, Beta & Gamma before they release all their games. If they do this their games will be far less buggy and much more likely to garner higher reviews from both critics and users.
It’s easier and less expensive to have people finding your program’s bugs.
This was exactly my first reaction. Maybe they’ll fix some net code bugs, but I’m not at all confident that any player input will have an effect on a finished Ubisoft game. If this were true we wouldn’t have gotten the same Assassin’s Creed game 8 times.
True
and after that release early access just to be safe
I thought they already did that.
now that fc4 is at 1.9 it runs much much better.
PFT AHAHAHAHAHAH lol seriosuly ubisoft wtf?
“Alpha”
would have rather had patriots than this….
said no one ever.
“Professional-Victim” – I like your handle 🙂
Atleast that had a interesting story.
More like a demo youll probably have to pre-order to have a better chance of getting in. As if Ubisoft listen to what gamers want.
did they add single player story or it’s still a repetitive multiplayer game ?
what is not a “repetitive” mutliplayer game?
a nice and well designed single player campaign is better than anything for a game that used to be like that. multiplayer only = s**t
I mean it does have a single player, probably won’t be good. But a lot of people just care about multiplayer now a days.
i hope it does but i doubt it. yes but lets see some great games and they are all single player only. shadow of mordor ? great game, sold well and it’s single player only, same as wolf, new releases ? people are hyped for games like witcher 3, batman AK and just caus 3, they are all single player only games. gta 5 have a broken multiplayer but it sold tens of millions because of it’s single player, skyrim ? more than 30 million copies and single player only. can we say the same thing about Evolve ? no, can we say the same thing about Elder Scrolls Online ? no. people care more about single player in my opinion, thery are only some multiplayer games that are successful.
it’s more like some developers like multiplayer more than consumers, they don’t have to worry about story, content etc… just put a map and some repetitive objectives and sell it.
Huh, personally I don’t care for any of the games you mentioned above. But elder scrolls online and evolve aren’t the best examples. How about wow, dota 2, counter strike, lol, h1z1, etc. Personally I like single player games a lot more than multiplayer ones, but your reasoning is ridiculous.
as i already said only a handful of online only games are successful. they are more chance to fail specially if your game has nothing new or something wrong with it.
Minimum Requirements: R9 280X ??
“UBISOFT”
From the FAQ: “Note: These specs are the ones required for Alpha testing and are not the final PC specs. We are still working on optimizing the game and the launch specs will be lower than the Alpha specs.”
yeah they say that with their main titles and the diffirence between final sepcs is quite small.
AnvilNext must be poorly optimized if it requires an R9 280X at minimum.
Unity can run on a 750 ti, now “run” is debatable but the point is that ubisoft is lying to cover up the fact they cant fix their stuttering on budget cards.
let me correct the budget part… they cant fix their stuttering on any cards.
There are so many multiplayer games – how they fill rooms I have no idea. Besides, isn’t 99% of everyone in a multiplayer game playing Dota 2?
I must be in the 1% then because I’ve never played it.
Me neither. I think it’s just a fad 😛
We’re the cool kids 🙂
I feel more like the old man. Those damn Dota kids better keep off my lawn!
At 35 I actually am, and I have no lawn (:
Could be cool. With all the destructible elements I’m not confident my computer is ready.
GTX 670 minimum wtffffff
Ubisoft Logic……
Be ready for 20-30 FPS with GTX 980 on 1080p+stutter!
Oh, yeah – I guess someone should post this:

Same was with BF Hardline on the first “Alpha stage” and was running perfect with much better system requirements .
I don’t understand – are you saying you’ve played the Siege Alpha and it doesn’t run as well as BF Hardline?
No but from Ubisoft and for this kinda req i will expect to run very bad!
Hardline i played it on the 1st Alpha and the 2nd and was running perfect 🙂
The last great Rainbow 6 game I played was Battlefield 3’s Group Deathmatch (I think that was the name).
Multiple teams of six players would rove about and kill each other in confined spaces. It was intense! It was up to the players to stick with their teammates – those that ran off and did their own thing would die quickly, or if you got separated from the group.
For what is wroth they finally fixed takedown, now its playable.
Meh Ubisoft.
Looking forward to a new rainbow six for a long time now.
yeah I’ve been waiting for the next Rainbow Six installment ever since Vegas 2 and Its a shame Rainbow 6: Patriots was cancelled.
PC exclusive? Lol it’s just probably a short Timed exclusive. Doing exclusive on PC is a bad idea (if you are not Blizzard) and with Ubisoft broken reputation, sales going to be bad and it will shortly available for consoles.
“Closed Alpha Phase Announced Exclusively for the PC”
Trouble reading?
alpha test is only exclusive since the lead platform is PC, not the game
“You do not meet the requirements to access the closed alpha at this time.” ???? What the actual f?
Signed up. Lied about meeting requirements because those are bunk any way. I just can’t say no to destruction physics.
