Tim Schafer wants to make Psychonauts 2, Notch offers to fund it

Psychonauts was an overlooked little gem by Tim Schafer, that was developed by Double Fine. Psychonauts is based on the exploits of Raz, a young boy gifted with psychic abilities who runs away from the circus to try to sneak into a summer camp for those with similar powers in order to become a “Psychonaut”. And although we haven’t gotten any sequel for it yet, Tim Schafer expressed his desire to return to this IP.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Schafer revealed that he would love to do Psychonauts 2. However, most publishers haven’t taken the bait yet but that could very well change as Notch has offered to fund it. And, no was not kidding.
As Notch tweeted:
“Let’s make Psychonauts 2 happen.”
Notch then added that he was serious about it, so the ball is in Tim Schafer’s court now!
