The Talos Principle is available for free on Epic Games Store for the next 24 hours

Epic Games has announced that Croteam’s puzzle game, The Talos Principle, is now available for free on Epic Games Store. PC gamers can go ahead and visit the game’s EGS page in order to acquire their free copy.

The Talos Principle is a first-person puzzle game in the tradition of philosophical science fiction. The game was made by Croteam and written by Tom Jubert (FTL, The Swapper) and Jonas Kyratzes (The Sea Will Claim Everything).

Here are the game’s key features:

  • Overcome more than 120 immersive puzzles in a stunning world.
  • Divert drones, manipulate laser beams and even replicate time to prove your worth – or to find a way out.
  • Explore a story about humanity, technology and civilization. Uncover clues, devise theories, and make up your own mind.
  • Choose your own path through the game’s non-linear world, solving puzzles your way.
  • But remember: choices have consequences and somebody’s always watching you.

You can acquire your free copy for The Talos Principle from here.

    1. Depends on your definition of good. They’ve given away Hyper Light Drifter, Shadow Tactics, Fez, Limbo, Metro 2033 Redux, FTL, Celeste, Inside, Subnautica, The Arkham Series, Transistor, The Witness, RiME… all critically acclaimed. If those were the only games I played this year, I wouldn’t have been disappointed.

      1. Definitions are subjetive now? People interested in half of those games already ownes them, the other half is garbage…

        1. The word ‘good’ is quite subjective, especially in this case.

Death Stranding is a perfect example of that.

    1. I prefer paying for these games (on sale), on the platform I CHOSE, than
using a chinese spyware and being part of the worst PC gaming cancer.

  1. Great puzzle-type game. Got it for my gf who’s into these and it gets increasingly more difficult to where we had to put our heads together to finish it. Im more of a run and gun gamer and wouldnt have played it on my own, but it was pretty fun partnering up. Highly recommend for people that like puzzlers.
