  1. I can’t wait for this game, just a few more weeks and we have another great looking hospital based game based around quirky humor. I love the art style they’re going for here, and hopefully it will be great!

  2. On some serious OFF topic news, is this really happening ? GPU prices are slowly coming down ?

NVIDIA & AMD GPU prices down by up to 18% by end of May/june.

I think they are clearing the inventory as much as possible, because next-gen cards are still far away, and this would be a perfect opportunity to grab some previous GEN cards, assuming someone really wants to upgrade, as of now ?

Took this chart from 3DCenter website:

    1. Yup they’ve been going down, but seeing as Bitcoin made a, I believe it was 600 dollar jump up the other day, the maybe going back up in price soon. I just hope it’s not going to affect the prices though since mining may still not be worth it at the price it’s at. On Tuesday it was $6,757, today it’s $7,377 so it’s on the rise again.

Thanks for showing me this chart and the website. This is some good knowledge to possess since I’m going to be upgrading at the end of the year once I get my bonus check in from the work I’m doing on a project.

      1. No worries.

I think MINING has been in sudden decline since past many months or so, which might have increased the inventory with AIBs, retailers and other vendors.

I’m just making an assumption though. It might also be possible that NVIDIA’s next-gen Video cards are just around the corner as per rumors, so they are trying to sell as many previous gen cards as possible.

But this still remains to be seen. Btw, which GPU do you currently have ? Just asking.

          1. People never stay away for long. I got blocked by SpaceNazi, but I’m still here. I cry a little, but here nonetheless.

          2. i don’t know if you know him or not, he’s a drama queen, last time he wrote an scroll and cried a river on why he’s never coming back again, here he is.

        1. I’ve heard that rumor as well with the new Nvidia GPUs, I can’t wait to see what the come out with despite not personally being an Nvidia guy for a couple of years now.

I currently have an R9 390, it’s a pretty decent card for the time I bought it but I do need to upgrade soon. I’m just not sure if I want to stick with AMD or go back to Nvidia. I’m not partial to either company since I generally just go with what ever works for 1080P gaming at 60FPS with Ultra/High settings, and doesn’t cost me an arm and a leg.

          1. Nice.

The R9 390 is a pretty good Video card, despite the old Greneda GPU architecture, but having a 512 bits Memory BUS interface (enough bandwidth as well).

I think, the R9 390 even ties with my current RX 480 4GB card in some of latest demanding PC games, if not all.

I’ve seen pretty good benchmarks for this card, within spitting distance with other similar GPUs as well.

For 1080p/60Hz your card has enough VRAM as well, 8192 MB GDDR5 memory, and this extra memory frame buffer might also come in handy even if you play on higher screen resolutions.

          2. From what I understand, the R9 390 does beat out the RX 480 in quite a few games, but the RX 480 is better over all in terms of performance per watt(since it’s the newer architecture), benchmarks software, and price point(obviously).

I’ve heard that the R9 390 is good for 1440P or 4K but I don’t really have the CPU to back it up since I’m still using an I5 3570K still which I also need to upgrade to an I7 at some point if I do decide to get a 1440P or 4K monitor. I’ve been finding that it’s beginning to fall behind on performance in modern games, although I do get pretty decent performance out of Vulkan based games when ever I play one like Doom(2016).

I honestly would rather shoot for 1080P 144HZ before I go up in resolution though since I find it to be more important over all than resolution.

But yeah the 8GBs of V-RAM on the card absolutely has it’s benefits even at 1080P, although it would be more useful in higher resolutions. For instance with GTA V I get pretty solid performance at 1080P with a lot of the graphical options turned up which is nice since the game does look pretty good.

          3. Yeah, a new GPU architecture is going to be better overall in terms of power consumption, efficiency, and price/performance ratio.

Thanks to a smaller refined manufacturing process node (nm), and other architecture changes, including the transistor count, ROPs and TMUs and TDP.

The R9 390 still has a higher ROP count and more CUs/Stream Processors though, despite the old architecture.

The Rx 480 is pretty much efficient and cool, but it still can’t beat my secondary GPU, the GTX 970 in terms of cooling, and this card is dead silent even if I cap out the fans to 100%.

It’s an ASUS STRIX GTX 970 model.

My RX 480 is not that great in terms of PCB quality and build, as it’s the ARMOR model from MSI, but it gets the job done as long as I don’t overclock this card.

IMO, the R9 390 is good till 1440p resolution, not 4K. Even on 1440p the card might struggle in some graphic demanding PC games.

For 4K, the GTX 1080 Ti or a VEGA 64 GPU seems like a resonanle deal, but very few can afford such high-end cards, lol.

          1. Oh, I thought you were just talking in general for others as well.

So, do you really plan to go 2-way SLI on your RIG, via the HB bridge ?

I’m not a big fan of either SLI nor CFX, because I just want to have a SINGLE powerful GPU on my system.

Less heat and better game compatibility, because I know not may PC titles SCALE very well on SLI, with some exceptions though.

          2. In general: To SLI/CF or not to SLI/CF! 🙂

I know, I know, I’ve read so many negative things about SLI, which is one reason I opted for a 1080. (plus a ton of amazon cards, a 5% discount, and rebate 🙂 ).

There is always NVI to add the SLI bits (and HBAO+ bits if you want).

  3. Yeah the game is looking pretty good, but it’s published by Sega so it’s guaranteed to have Denuvo.
